摘要:
The simulation of a jib crane control strategy is reported which transfers a load under the condition of suppressing the load swing both in the transfer process and at the objective position, making the transfer time as short as possible. A non-linear dynamic equation of the load in a jib crane motion is derived. By linearizing the equation and giving a cost function of the second order, the control problem becomes LQ-type with control constraintu. Computer simulations show that this control strategy is able to suppress the load swing by the extending or shrinking motion of the boom.

摘要:
Relations are established between properties of stability, attractivity, and instability, respectively, for a continuous-time system and the respective properties of a corresponding sampled-data system. Furthermore, conditions are formulated for preserving such properties of a continuous-time system under periodic, and especially non-periodic, sampling.

摘要:
Different methods that have been developed and used for computer-aided analysis of ECG waves are discussed. Two new approaches are presented for computerized analysis, which feature extraction of various segments of the ECG wave. The first method is based on mixed mathematical functions and the second is based on the spline functions. A method is also presented for the identification and separation of P, Q, R, S, and T segments.

摘要:
A new sub-optimum smoothing algorithm is presented for multi-dimensional dynamic systems. This algorithm is based upon quantization, multiple hypothesis testing, and the Viterbi decoding algorithm. The estimation of state vectors is carried out sequentially, component-by-component, and in parallel. A considerable memory reduction is achieved for state estimation implementation with the proposed algorithm. Simulation results, some of which are presented, show that the sub-optimum algorithm performs better than the extended Kalman filter algorithm for some non-linear multi-dimensional models with white gaussian disturbance and observation noises. In addition, the performance of the sub-optimum algorithm is almost as good as the Kalman filter algorithm for linear multi-dimensional models with white gaussian noise.

摘要:
The problem of eigenvalue assignment for two-dimensional (2-D) systems expressed by Roesser's state-space model is considered. This is done by introducing a 2-D dynamic compensator. First, an output feedback law is established and the eigenvalue assignment problem is divided into two 1-D eigenvalue assignment problems. Next, a sufficient condition for the existence of a 2-D dynamic compensator is presented for assigning arbitrary eigenvalues from a given set of complex number pairs. Finally, an algorithm is proposed for designing a 2-D dynamic compensator and a numerical example is solved to illustrate it.

摘要:
The open-loop optimal control of a linear, shift-invariant, singularly perturbed system with two small parameters is considered. The two small parameters are interrelated and approach zero simultaneously. The resulting two-point boundary value problem is put in the singularly perturbed form. A singular perturbation method is developed to obtain approximate solutions composed of an outer series, two initial correction series and two final correction series to recover the lost boundary conditions in the process of degeneration. An example is provided to illustrate the proposed method.

摘要:
The general relations between the model parameters of a continuous-time system and its sampled version are reviewed first, and some simplified formulae for approximating these relations under the condition of a relatively small sampling period are developed. Thus, the numerical ranges of the sampled model parameters can then be roughly predetermined. Moreover, the tending-to-one theorems for the parameter sum of both the sampled model and its predictive version are also proved in a rigorous manner. The main results obtained are useful for adaptive control using on-line identification techniques, especially in presetting and resetting the initial values and deviation limits for recursive parameter estimation.

摘要:
An effective scheme is proposed for estimating the state parameters of a manoeuvring target from a noisy image sequence, providing the sequence contains correlated noises and the trajectory of the target is disturbed by an unknown acceleration. For the correlated noises, a first-order difference operator is applied to the original image sequence to generate an artificial measurement sequence with only uncorrelated white noises. For the unknown acceleration, a Kalman filter augmented by a semi-Markov process and the bayesian theory is applied to form an adaptive filter. In the proposed tracking system, the filter first generates an artificial measurement at each sampling time from the observation. It then utilizes an artificial measurement sequence up to the current time instance to predict the a posteriori probability of each possible acceleration state. The weighted average of acceleration, where the weight is the a posteriori probability, is applied to derive the optimal estimates of the state parameters. Several computer simulations with external force applied at unknown times are performed to demonstrate the applicability and superiority of the proposed system.

摘要:
Two sets of sufficient conditions for the mean-square asymptotic stability of the equilibrium state of linear differential time-lag systems with non-stationary random coefficients are derived. Each of the sets of sufficient conditions is then shown to be equivalent to a corresponding unconstrained optimization problem. Hence, it can readily be solved by standard efficient optimization techniques. The usual trial-and-error method of finding the required parameters to satisfy the stability conditions can now be avoided.

摘要:
A new, evolutionary approach to the functional diagnostics of dynamic systems is proposed. By this approach, failure is regarded as causing the system evolution while the evolution process is presented as a curve in the state-space of the object under normal operation. The evolutionary approach proposed has been implemented in this part of the paper as a method for functional diagnostics of dynamic systems. Under this method, evolution is regarded as a change in the system structure. The method has been obtained on the basis of the object energy in case of failure. It comprises the construction of new models of failures, introduction of the terms ‘entropy’ and ‘redundancy’ and the formal statement of functional diagnostic problems for one of these failure models. The definition given for observer of failure and the formulated principle of a dynamic system entropy minimum are essential for the construction of this method.
