SUMMARYOccasionally, surgery is needed for particular complications in Stages I1 (B) and I11 GLWS. Splenectomy may become the only method for control of some cases of secondary hypersplenism (Grace and Mittieman, 1966). Intestinal obstruction, bowel perforation or haemorrhage or progressive spinal cord compression can demand an urgent operation. Resides surgical disorders, not related to Hodgkin's disease, will occur a t times.

SUMMARYA radiological review of 15 cases of acromegaly with bone and joint involvement is presented, particular attention being paid to the constellation of changes appearing in relation to the major and minor joints of all types. A single explanation is offered for the various radiological expressions of this disease as it influences articular and related tissue.

SUMMARYThe technique of laryngeal tomographv after percricoid injection of contrast has been described in detail. The importance of films taken in phonation and quiet respiration is stressed, if maximum information is to be obtained from the examination. Five cases are illustrated to show the potential of the technique.
