AbstractKamp, A., C. W. Sem‐Jacobsen, W. Storm vanLeeuwenand L. H. Van derTweel.Cortical responses to modulated light in the human subject.Electrical responses to modulated light have been recorded from a patient with depth electrodes implanted in the visual cortex. Low modulation percentages still gave a response even in the second harmonic of the stimulating frequency. The high frequency part of the frequency response curve showed a decrease corresponding to perception. Towards low frequencies also a steep decrease in sensitivity has been found. The responses in different places near to each other were not highly correlated. A discussion about the theoretical aspects is give

摘要:
ABSTRACTSTESER, B. Experimental evaluation of the hypothesis of ligamento‐muscular protective reflexes. I. A method for adequate stimulation of tension receptors in the medial collateral ligament of the knee joint of the cat, and studies of the innervation of the ligament.A method is described for effecting a large increase in the ligament's tension. The ligament is loadedin situtransversely to the line of the leg. The slight dissection required by the method involves no appreciable damage to afferent nerve fibres of the ligament. A study was made of the effect of loading the ligament on the impulse flow in the medial and posterior articular nerves. The course of the branches of these two nerves in relation to different parts of the ligament was investigated by probing with auditive registration of the impulse response and by anatomical dissectio

摘要:
ABSTRACTAndersson, S. and B. Stener. Experimental evaluation of the hypothesis of ligamento‐muscular protective reflexes. II. A study in cat using the medial collateral ligament of the knee joint.Acta physiol. scand.1959.48.Suppl. 166. 27—49.—A method has been developed for effecting a large increase in the ligament's tension, without appreciably damaging its innervation during the preparatory dissection (STENER 1959). The effect of the intense afferent impulse flow, induced by this method, on motoneurones supplying muscles capable of opposing an increase in tension in the ligament was studied by myography, electromyography and monosynaptic testing. With none of these methods was it possible to detect any reflex motor effects ascribable to receptors in the ligament. On the other hand, strong reflex motor responses were obtained by gentle mechanical stimulation of extra‐ligamentary receptors within the ventromedial region of the joint (skin r
