摘要:
The two principal objectives of this study were to: provide a representative description of the physical, chemical and biologic aspects of Loch Raven Reservoir, the principal source of water supply for Baltimore, Maryland; and, illustrate how natural phenomena may affect the quality of water within, and withdrawn from, surface water supply impoundments. Field work and laboratory analyses were conducted by the author from early April through November of 1964, the period when a large lake or reservoir in this part of the country passes from spring turnover through summer stratification to fall turnover.

摘要:
This article presents the report of the AWWA Task Group on Artificial Ground Water Recharge. Of special interest is a report submitted on the “Rules and Regulations for Drilling Wells and Other Related Material,” by the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Division of Water Resources. This report is of special interest, particularly Article 14, which is relative to air conditioning wells, and is repeated in this article verbatim. Also presented are the questions asked in the questionnaire together with a summary of the answers.

摘要:
This article discusses the problem of the alewife fish clogging the intake screens and unit condensers at a Waukegan (Illinois) generating station from 1961‐1964. It was discovered that the operation of the chlorinators was tied in with the plugging of the screens by dead alewife fish.

摘要:
This article discusses a report on the facts about lysergic acid derivatives (LSD) submitted to the Journal on Nov. 2, 1966, by the U.S. Public Health Service. Specifically, it discusses a statement made in a Life Magazine article in 1966 that “a few pounds of LSD dumped into a city's water supply could disorient millions.”
