摘要:
Monoclonal antibodies detect a new polymorphic antigenic determinant shared by HLA‐A2, 3, 28, 29, 30, 31 and w33. This was demonstrated by population and family studies, including an HLA‐A,B recombinant family, and by lysostrip experiments. Competition experiments, measuring the binding of125I labelled MoAbs to B lymphoblastoid cell lines coated with anti‐HLA conventional alloantisera and MoAbs showed that this new epitope is spatially distant from other known epitopes of A3 molecules and from monomorphic and polymorphic determinants of A2 molecules detected by monoclonal antibodies. 摘要:
In a French family with 2 parents and 5 children a crossing over was found in the HLA region on both of the parental haplotypes of one of the children. The following markers were studied: HLA‐A, B, C,DR, DQ(MB), DP(SB), complement allotypes C4 and Bf and glyoxalase I polymorphism. In the third child, the paternal haplotype had a recombination between HLA‐A and HLA‐C and the maternal haplotype a recombination between HLA‐B and complement locus C4. Mixed lymphocyte cultures confirmed the serological findings and non‐HLA markers (blood groups and immunoglobulin allotypes) showed no evidence of extrapaternity. In 55 children with Hirschsprung's disease, 64 of their normal siblings and 120 other members of their families, HLA‐A, B and C types were examined. The statistical significance of the raised incidence of A1, B14, B37 and Bw35 in the patients disappeared after correction for multiple testing. 摘要:
A study of 771 consecutive blood samples from Hong Kong Chinese has shown the existence of two variants of HLA A11 which can be recognized by antisera of Chinese and other origins. The two variants, identified as HLA A11S (for Short) and HLA A11L (for Long) occurred in 6.4% and 45.9%, respectively, of the samples tested. 2.6% of the samples gave reactions consistent with the presence of both variants and in one case this could be verified by a family study. Segregation of the variants was evident in two other families.

The HLA‐A, ‐B, ‐C, ‐DR, Bf and GLO phenotypes of 109 unrelated Saudi Arab males have been determined. HLA‐A and ‐B antigen frequencies were compared with data reported for European Caucasoids and various Arab populations. Most similarities in antigen frequencies were seen between Saudi Arab and Iraqi populations. A high frequency of Bw50 was observed in Saudi Arabs. The frequencies of HLA‐DR antigens in Saudi Arabs were compared to European Caucasoids. HLA‐DR7 was at high frequency in Saudi Arabs. Linkage disequilibria between alleles of HLA loci was examined. Many instances of previously reported antigen associations were seen in Saudi Arabs, together with a number of associations which have not been described elsewhere. Evidence for a new HLA class II specificity is presented. It is recognized by LE serum, which reacts with most DR1 and/or DR4 individuals (r = 0.86). Its frequency in the French population is 0.33. Absorption‐elution experiments showed that the serum reactivity was not due to a mixture of anti‐DR1 and anti‐DR4 antibodies, but to a single antibody population which could be absorbed on and eluted from both DR1(+) or DR4(+) cells. LE specificity seemed to be expressed on DR but not on DQ molecules since the serum reacted with and could be absorbed by DR+,DQw‐cells; it did not react with a DR‐,DQw+ mutant cell, but did react with the DR+,DQw+ parental cell.
