SummaryTwo cases are reported of drug loxicity resulting from the simultancous administration of methotrexate and phenylbutazone. The clinical features were those of methotrexate overdosage. It is postulated that phenylbutazone displaces methotrexate form flasma protein binding sites, thus increasing the free methotrexate concentration. To our knowledge this interaction has not previously been reported.

SummaryBlood glucose and serum insulin were measured duying an oral glucose tolerance lest in 26 unselected patients with granuloma annulare. One patient was found to have matuvity onset diabetes mellitus and a second had marginally abnormal glucose tolerance. The remaining 24 patients all had entirely normal glucose tolerance and insulin response. These result give no support to the claim that granuloma annulare is associated with diabetes mellitus.

SummaryTar kcralosis develops on the skin of persons in prolonged contact with tar, pitch or their products. By “tar keratosis” we mean tar wart, being identical with what is called verruca picea, pitch wart, soot wart, poireau de skic.These small warts may develop into cancer in a number of workers who are exposed to tar or its products for many years. Factors influencing this development are of various types: chemical, biological, infectious and physical (heat, light etc.). Even many years after avoiding contact with tar and its products, former workers may continue to develop tar warts and even skin cancer. Is the skin in a state of increased sensitivity even after the ‐worker leaves the tar industry? We investigated this question by determining the threshold erythema value in 111 patients with tar warts.
