AbstractDiäthoxy‐, Diphenoxy‐, Diacetoxy‐, Bis‐ (n‐butylamino)‐, Bis‐(N‐methylanilino)‐, Dianilino‐ und Dihydrido‐diphenylsilan wurden mit einer Reihe von Diphenolen und Cycloalkylendiolen zu den im Titel genannten Polymeren polykondensiert. Hoch‐molekulare Produkte konnten durch Schmelzpolykondensation von Dianilino‐diphenylsilan sowie durch Schmelz‐ und Lösungspolykondensation von Diphenylsilan mit Dihydroxyverbindungen erhalten werden. Hohe Reinheit der Monomeren und die Anwendung eines Silanüberschusses von 0,5–3,6% waren Voraussetzung zur Erreichung hoher Polymerviskositäten.Für die unter H2‐Entwicklung ablaufende Polykondensation mit Diphenylsilan erwiesen sich als Katalysatoren neben den LEWISsäuren besonders Alkalimetalle und als Lösungsmittel Dioxan als sehr geeignet.

AbstractDie im Titel genannten Eigenschaftsgrößen wurden von 12 verschiedenen Polydioxyarylen (bzw. ‐dioxycycloalkylen)‐diphenylsilanen bestimmt. Es wurden Molekulargewichte bis zu 240000 sowie Glas‐ und VICATtemperaturen von 50°C bis 209°C gefunden. Thermogravimetrische Untersuchungen zeigten, daß bei mehreren Polymertypen der Gewichtsverlust bei ca. 480°C begann. Die Dauertemperaturbe‐ständigkeit der meisten Polymeren war nur ungenügend und wurde auf die hydrolytische Instabilität der Polymeren zurückgeführt. Eine Ausnahme bildete das Polykondensat mit 2,2,4,4‐Tetramethylcyclobutandiol‐(1,3), das bis 150°C keine Abbauerscheinungen zeigte und von allen Polymeren das hyd

AbstractThe thermal degradation of polyvinylchloride in 2‐allyl phenol, 2‐allyl‐6‐methylphenol and 2‐methoxy‐4‐allyl phenol (eugenol) has been investigated in an atmosphere of nitrogen in the temperature range 188–218°C. The reaction is very slow in eugenol. The activation energy was lower in eugenol (40 kcal/mole) than in 2‐allyl phenol (47kcal/mole). The reaction is autocatalytic. The rate of dehydrochlorination in ethylbenzoate or methylsalicylate is suppressed by addition of small quantities of eugenol. 摘要:

AbstractSulfochloriertes und chlormethyliertes Polystyrol wurde mit D‐α‐Phenyläthylamin, D‐Ephedrin, D‐Alanin, L‐Alanin, L‐Alaninmethylester, L‐Alaninbenzylester, L‐Phenylalanin und D‐α‐Aminophenylessigsäure zu asymmetrisch gebauten Polymeren umgesetzt. Diese wurden als spezifische Adsorbentien für die chromatographische Auftrennung von Racematen eingesetzt.Der Einfluß verschiedener Substituenten am asymmetrischen Zentrum der Polymeren wie der Racemate auf die Trennwirkung bzw. Trennbarkeit wurde untersucht.DL‐Mandelsäure und DL‐α‐Amino‐phenylessigsäure konnten mit verschiedenen Elutionsmitteln an den Polymeren aus Polystyrolsulfonsäurechlorid und optisch aktiven Aminosäuren partiell aufgetrennt werden. Die Polymeren aus Polystyrolsulfonsäurechlorid und L‐Alaninestern zeigten erst nach der Verseifung der Estergruppen zu freien Carboxylgruppen stereoselektives Adsorptionsvermögen. Ein Austausch der Carboxylgruppe am asymmetrischen C‐Atom gegen eine Methylgruppe führte bei den Polymeren wie bei den Racematen zum Verlust der Trennwirkung bzw. Trennbarkeit. Ein Austausch von Phenyl‐ gegen Benzyl‐ oder Methylgruppen hatte bei den Racematen einen viel stärkeren Einfluß auf den Trenneffekt als bei den Polymeren. Im Vergleich zu einer (CH2NH)‐Brücke begünstigte eine (SO2NH)‐Brücke zwischen dem Trägerpolymeren und der optisch aktiven Komponente die Trennwirkung.Als Ursache der partiellen Auftrennung von Racematen wurde eine unterschiedlich feste Bi

AbstractIn order to establish the prerequisites for the examination of solution properties of poly(di‐n‐alkyl itaconates), the solubilities of the first 11 members of this polymer homologous series were determined in 70 solvents, and the results correlated with the lengths of the ester substituents of the polymer chain, the solvent solubility parameters and the solvent hydrogen bonding capacities. The relation between solvent strength and the lengths of ester substituents of the monomer units was established quantitatively for several solvents in terms of φ2 crit.,the nonsolvent volume fraction in ternary polymer‐solvent‐nonsolvent θ‐mixtures, and evaluated according to a turbidometric titration method proposed by ELIAS1. AbstractThe effect of the solvents of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) species on the crosslinking reaction accompanying in the heterogeneous formalization of PVA was studied. AbstractOn a étudié la réaction du chlorure de chloracétyle (CCA) avec le poly(alcool vinylique) (PAV) qui contient 2 et 12% de groupements acétyle. On a obtenu par un autre procédé des copolymères ternaires du chloracétate de vinyle, de l'alcool vinylique et de l'acétate de vinyle. La réaction entre le CCA et le PAV peut être effectuée avec des solutions de PAV dans des solvants amidiques ou en milieu hétérogène. AbstractGel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) has found application not only in the study of the molecular weight distribution of high polymers but also in the separation of oligomers and other low molecular weight compounds. This paper describes a computer program which deals both with the analysis and resolution of a get permeation chromatogram of an oligomeric mixture into its component peaks and with the evaluation of the molecular weight distribution of high polymers. Several refinements built into the program allow the use of input data from either a spectrophotometer or a differential refractometer, and permit the calculation of errors caused by a linear shift in the calibration curve. The program can also be adapted readily to curve resolution problems in other fields.
