AbstractEs wurde die Polymerisation von Styrol in Gegenwart einiger Farbanthrachinonund Azoderivate des 1,3,5‐Triazins, die eine polymerisationsfähige Gruppe enthalten, untersucht. Die Abhängigkeit der Polymerisationsgeschwindigkeit des Styrols sowohl vom Charakter des Farbstoffs als auch von der Art der darin enthaltenen polymerisationsaktiven Doppelbindung wurde ermittelt. In den UV‐ und den sichtbaren Spektren der enthaltenen Farbpolymeren wurden Absorptionsmaxima beobachtet, die charakteristisch für die Farbstoffe sind und im farblosen Polystyrol fehlen, was darauf hinweist, daß die Farbmoleküle in die Makromolek¨︁lkette eingebaut sind.Die Untersuchungen wurden in Gegenwart von 0,1 Gew.‐% Farbstoff durchgeführt. Kolorimetrisch wurde festgestellt, daß 85–90% des Farbstoffs in das Polymere eingebaut werden. Eine so geringe Farbstoffmenge genügt vollkommen zur Herstellung von intensiv gefärbten Polymeren, ohne daß dies zu einer bedeutenden Herabsetzung des Mol

AbstractCompounds of the types [π‐C5H5M(CO)nX] (M = Fe, n = 2; M = Mo, n = 3; X = CH3, CH2C6H5, CH2Si(CH3)3, CH2OCH3, Sn(C6H5)3, SnCl3, HgCl, I), [Mn(CO)5CH3], and [(π‐CH3C5H4)Mn(CO)3] have been examined as catalysts for the cure of epoxy resins under various conditions. Abstracto‐ and p‐Phenylenedioxydiacetic acid (o‐, p‐PhDDA) undergo in presence of 1,6‐hexamethylene (HMDI)‐,2,4‐toluylene (TDI)‐,4,4′‐dibenzyl (DBDI)‐ and 1,5‐naphthylene (NDI)‐diisocyanates polyaddition reactions. These reactions being accompanied by CO2evolution finally give polyamides. These syntheses were carried out based on preliminary studies regarding the reactivity of o‐ and p‐PhDDA with aromatic isocyanates. AbstractThe dependence of the specific viscosity of polyepichlorohydrin solutions in various solvents on the concentration of solutions was investigated. It was shown that there is only a little difference between specific viscosity measured in various solvents at the same concentration.Solubility diagrams for polyepichlorohydrin were made using both Hansen and Lieberman method and some properties (specific viscosity, evaporation rate and solvent retention in adhesive films) of solutions were plotted against the composition of solvent mixtures. A definite dependence of the specific viscosity on the position of solvent mixture in solubility diagrams was found. This behaviour is discussed in terms of intermolecular attractions.

AbstractEs wurde eine Entschwefelung von Vulkanisaten mittels Raney‐Nickel unter verschiedenen Bedingungen durchgeführt. Die Konzentrationsänderung der chemischen Querbindungen im Gel wurde untersucht und das Molekulargewicht der löslichen Fraktionen wurde bestimmt. Die Versuchsergebnisse bestätigen, daß die Entschwefelung von Vulkanisaten mit Raney‐Nickel unter den gegebenen Bedingungen ohne Destruktion der Kautschukmoleküle verläuft. AbstractThe crystallization in flow of various 1,4‐cis‐polybutadienes, including an extremely high cis‐polybutadiene content obtained with uranium catalyst, has been studied in a capillary rheometer. The influence on the crystallization in flow of temperature, pressure, shear rate has been investigated and compared with the conditions in the flow field of a roll‐mill. It is shown that when these conditions are suitable for inducing, the crystallization of the rubber, the processability at the roll‐mill is substantially improved.
