摘要:
AbstractA generalization of the Richards transformation is presented and its properties are derived. the new transformation is appropriate for the canonic synthesis of non‐reciprocal network sections based on the transformation of an impedance, and it is shown that under certain constraints a transformerless realization is possible. the generalized Richards transformation can also be applied to the synthesis of network sections without degree reduction of the impedance to be transformed. This kind of application is important for the realization of transfer functions. A dual transformation for an admittance is established. 摘要:
AbstractTo make the existing fault diagnosis algorithms suitable and feasible for practical large analogue networks, a large network must be decomposed into small uncoupled subnetworks. Recently, an efficient decomposition approach fault diagnosis process has been proposed by Bandleret al.This approach keeps both the computations and measurements to acceptable bounds. However, the error effect due to component tolerance in practical circuits may drastically affect the identification of the faulty components. In this paper, a fault prediction approach fault diagnosis process is presented to diagnose precisely the faulty components. the result of this study shows that error effect can be alleviated significantly if the network can be continuously monitored. the proposed fault prediction approach results a significant improvement in both computation and error effect over the original decomposition approach.

AbstractAccurate measurement of Volterra kernels is an essential step in themodellingof weakly non‐linear physical systems via the block box approach, and inmodel validation. This paper is a sequel to an earlier paper,1where practical methods for measuring Volterra kernels were presented along with aquick methodfor measuring the second‐order Volterra kernels. This paper extends thatquick methodfor measuringhigher‐orderfrequency‐domain Volterra kernels of weakly non‐linear systems. We further developed the quick method to measure directly the points of the Volterra kernels which are located along one or more axes in the frequency domain, thus making our method complete and more accurate than that presented in Reference 1. 摘要:
AbstractThe paper deals with the development of a symmetrically stabilized five‐phase oscillator. the development results from two origins. It employs on one hand a five‐phase conservative oscillator. On the other hand the stabilization process of the oscillator is due to similar non‐linear damping terms in earlier developments of stabilized three‐phase oscillators. A new feature of the present system is that it possesses an interesting steady state limit‐cycle behaviour. the two possible steady state oscillations are similar, since both of them consist of a five‐phase balanced set of phasors which are arranged symmetrically. However, each mode of possible steady state oscillation possesses its own unique frequency, although the amplitudes are equal. Another interesting feature of the oscillator is related to the way in which the various possible solutions (oscillatory, steady state, stable and unstable dynamic behaviours) evolve from initial conditions. There seem to exist regions where the system solutions appear sensitive to minute changes in initial conditions. It appears that completely different types of dynamic behaviours can develop from initial conditions in close proximity, which may lead eventually to the development of slightly modified systems with chaotic dynamics. the paper concludes by suggesting an application of multiphase oscillators for feeding phased arr

AbstractImpasse point is an important phenomenon found in many non‐linear circuits and systems. Among other things, the presence of an impasse point Q implies that the circuit model is defective and must be remodelled by augmenting it with parasitic inductances and/or capacitances at appropriate locations in order to predict the bifurcation from slow to rapid motions (jump phenomenon) widely observed in practice. the presence of an impasse point Q also implies that a numerical simulation of the associated system of implicit differential‐algebraic equations would give rise to an extraneous and random small‐amplitude oscillation in the vicinity of Q. the wave‐form associated with this ‘fake’ oscillatory phenomenon depends on the error‐controlled mechanism of the integration routine and can be detected using the results from this paper.Impasse points in high‐order circuits (n>2) need not be isolated. In fact, they often form an impasse set made of impasse curves, impasse surfaces, impasse manifolds, etc. In order to detect the impasse set associated with the implicit differential‐algebraic system.An analytical characterization of an impasse point (X0,y0) is derived and proved to be equivalent to that of solving for the limit‐points of an associated static bifurcation problem.Interpreting this as the parametric equation of a space curve in the y‐space, an impasse point (X0,y0) is simply a ‘turni
