摘要:
AbstractState of the art of emission measuring techniques in the flue gas of waste incineration plants.It is necessary to critically consider measuring techniques in the light of new requirements for waste incinerators (17th ordinance dating from Dec. 1990). Selected examples are concerned with the primary components of flue gas: particulate matter and trace metals, organics with total carbon content, and important groups such as organochlorine compounds (e.g. dioxins/furans) and inorganic chlorides (such as hydrogen chlorine). The evaluation concludes by considering manual techniques as well as monitoring systems and measures for quality assurance. Finally, an account of recent developments in the monitoring of ammonia and mercury is presented.

AbstractThe circulating fluidized bed reactor for catalyzed gas/solid reactions.For many years circulating fluidized beds (CFB) have been successfully employed for a variety of technical applications, e.g. for dry sorption processes to clean waste gases from alumina electrolysis, waste incinerators, and from coal dust combustion. A new application of the CFB principle, the dry and simultaneous removal of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides both from power plant and industrial waste gases has been developed and tested in laboratory‐scale, bench‐scale, and pilot plant facilities and has since reached technical maturity. In this dry DeNOx/DeSOx process, desulfurisation is accomplished by dry sorption with Ca(OH)2whereas NOxis eliminated by selective catalytic reduction (SCR) with NH3as reducing agent. To perform the process in a CFB reactor, powder‐like DeNOx catalysts are required. Referring to the simultaneous DeNOx/DeSOx CFB‐process, the main features of highly expanded gas/solid reaction systems as well as the requirements for fine catalyst particles used therein are evaluated. AbstractDevelopment of a simulation program for the scale‐up of hydrogenation reactors.The scale‐up of trickle‐bed reactors to pilot and production scale has been difficult and necessitated considerable over‐dimensioning. Therefore a simulation program based on a cell model has been developed in which the dimensions of a cell are directly related to the dimensions of the catalyst particles used. The kinetic equation is formulated with an effective rate coefficient as the only key parameter to be adjusted. With this coefficient the intrinsic rate coefficient, the mass transfer, and the incomplete catalyst particle wetting are considered. The model was applied to the hardening of fatty acids and the hydrogenation of fatty acid methyl esters in laboratory reactors.
