摘要:
Injection points are determined not only on the basis of the direct action of ozone but also on its indirect effects such as its biological action within the sand or the granular activated carbon filters, and more especially on its interaction with other oxidants such as chlorine or chlorine dioxide which may be combined with ozone within a given treatment line.

摘要:
The elimination of humic acids was studied by the following unit processes or their combination : ozonation (0), clariflocculation (C) and immersed biological filtration (F). (0) assures good elimination of color, but has little influence on tannins and TOD, (C) with FeCl3as the flocculant eliminates color well and the tannins, but the residual concentration of ferric ions is high. (F) requires an adaptation of attached cells, which was not the case during tests (O)-(F) in combination. Clariflocculation efficiency was not enhanced by preozonation.

摘要:
Wastewater containing indigenous bacteria and enteric viruses was ozonated in a contact column with counter-current circulation of ozonated air and water. The mean slope of the inactivation curve for indigenous viruses is about half that observed forE. coliand fecal streptococci. For 3 rag osub3;/l, in the presence of residual ozone and a contact time of 19 min, inactivation of 1 log for the viral population and 2 logs for the fecal bacteria are observed. A negative correlation exists between inactivation and organic content.
