摘要:
Ozone was introduced into the water initially using a packed colum, however, in order to improve the ozone utilisation it was decided to change to a spilt ozone dosage arrangement using a counter flow bubble column followed by a packed colum. Subsequent tests showed that the bubble colum alone produced similar ozone utilisation to the split dosing arrangements and the last 6 test runs were all undertaken using the bubble ozone alone.

摘要:
A method is proposed and a model is developed which are capable of providing a correlation of the mass transfer coefficient kLa, with stirrer speed and gas superficial velocity. The method can be adopted for deriving a correlation which can be profitably used for ozone gas–liquid reaction both for assessing the absorption regime and for the simulation of oxidation processes which evolve according to slow reaction regime.

摘要:
Research in electrochemical ozone generation techniques is progressing to the point that they may offer an attractive alternative to corona discharge and ultraviolet excitation synthesis in small-scale applications of ozone technology. Possible advantages include higher ozone concentrations, the use of inexpensive low-voltage D.C. power supplies, elimination of feed air preparation, reduced size and weight, and even aqueous phase generation (bypassing conventional applications contacting methods).

ABSTRACT: Center, type and underline Abstract heading, capitalizing the first letter. A double-space should separate the heading from the abstract text. Indent approximately 1/2 inch (13 mm) from both left and right margins for typing the abstract. The abstract should be approximately 50 to 70 words in length. It should be factual and contain the main results and conclusions of the paper. It should be intelligible to the reader without reference to the body of the paper and be suitable for reproduction by abstracting services. Introduction to the text (without a heading) should begin two spaces below the abstract using full margins.
