In this paper Klötzler's method of multiobjective dynamic programming is applied to the solution of a two-dimensional traveling salesman problem. In this way Bellman's and Held/Karp's dynamic programming approach to one-dimensional traveling salesman problems is extended to the multiobjective case.

A dynamic multilocation supply model with redistribution of the present stock at the end of every period is investigated. This model is a special 2-periodic stationary Markovian decision model. For linear cost-functions we show the optimality of a 2-stage lookahead policy, whose order rule is a (S, Spolicy. We consider in detail the two-location model and determine an approximate solution for the two-location model with more than two locations.

There exist many papers about semi-Markov processes. The paper of E.Çinlar [1] can be offered as a good introduction into this problem. There is a detailed bibliography in the survey of Koroljuk, Brody, Turbin [2], in the book of Koroljuk and Turbin [3]; see also J. Teugles [4]. This paper presents a brief outline of the subject and a number of sufficient conditions for ergodicity, convenient for applications. TheM/GI/1 type queueing system with batch processing is considered as an example, and the limiting distributions of some characteristics are derived.

We generalize an algorithm by van der Wal [6] for successive approximation of optimal strategies in non-discounted decision processes. This generalization is characterized as a method of strategy-improving, where the explicit solution of an equality system is not necessary. Several examples have demonstrated that the given method is advantageous in the case of decision spaces with high dimension especially.
