AbstractDas bislang unbekannte Sarkosin‐NTANCA bzw. NTA bedeutenN‐Carbonsäure (bzw.N‐Thiocarbonsäure)anhydrid.(6b), das im Gegensatz zum Sarkosin‐NCA(6a) flüssig und destillierbar ist, wurde ausN‐Äthoxythiocarbonylsarkosin (8) hergestellt. Die Polymerisation des NTAs6bund des NCAs6ain Pyridin führt zu höheren Polymerisationsgraden P̄nals mit anderen tertiären Aminen, dabei liefert das NTA stets niedrigere Molekulargewichte als das NCA. Die Pyridinkatalyse ergibt beim NTA neben Polysarkosin auch 1,4‐Dimethyl‐2,5‐dioxopiperazin (3a), dessen Anteil mit fallender Monomer‐konzentration zunimmt. Die Polymerisation von Sarkosin‐NCA mit Pyridin und γ‐Picolinhat den steilsten Anstieg von P̄nzwischen 90 und 100% Umsatz, während mit Triäthylamin als Katalysator P̄nin diesem Umsatzbereich wieder abfällt. Verschiedene Reaktionsmechanismen werden diskutiert; im Falle der Pyridinkatalyse ist die Bildung und Polykondensation von „Zwitterionen”︁ der wahrscheinlichste Mechanismus. AbstractRadical copolymerizations of methacrylic acid (MAA) coordinated to amminecobalt(III) complexes, methacrylatopentaamminecobalt(III) perchlorate (1) andcis‐dimethacrylatotetraamminecobalt(III) perchlorate (2) with MAA were carried out in an aqueous medium at pH 3 and at pH 7. It was found that1becomes incorporated into the macromolecules more easily at pH 7 than at pH 3. This may relate to the electrostatic interactions between the reaction species (monomer and growing radical). It was also found that only1can be homo‐polymerized at pH 3 although the product contains a certain amount of monomeric units of MAA. On the other hand, homo‐polymerization of1at pH 7 or that of2at pH 3 gave no polymeric product. In terms of the data of monomer reactivity ratios,Q‐evalues and rates of copolymerization, reactivities of these metal complex monomers were discussed in connection with the effects of the transition metal complex attached to conjugated system of the methacrylate

AbstractMicrotacticities of the polymers obtained by the radical polymerization of methacrylic acid (MAA) coordinated to amminecobalt(III) complexes, methacrylatopentaamminecobalt(III) perchlorate (1) andcis‐dimethacrylatotetraamminecobalt(III) perchlorate (2) were studied. It was found that macromolecules obtained by the copolymerization of1with MAA at pH 3 have much more isotactic sequences. However, microtacticities of the polymers obtained by the copolymerization of1at pH 7 or that of2at pH 3 were slightly influenced by the incorporation of metal complex monomers. From these results as well as fromPddl/Pdland Δεpvalues, it was found that the penultimate effects play an important rôle in the determination of the steric placement. AbstractInvestigations on the reactions of diethylzinc (1) with resorcinol (2) and phloroglucinol (8) were carried out for different mole ratios of the reactants. It was found that the reaction of1with2at a mole ratio of 1:1 is a two step process. In the first step1reacts very rapidly with half of applied2yielding di(ethylzinc) resorcinolate (6), which then reacts slowly with the remaining amount of2. AbstractThe copolymerization of acrylonitrile (AN), methacrylonitrile (MAN), methyl acrylate (MA), and methyl methacrylate (MMA) with butadiene (BD) in the presence of ethylaluminium dichloride, zinc chloride, and stannic chloride was investigated. The reactivity of polar monomers in the copolymerization was found to decrease in the following order: AN>MAN>MMA>MA. It was also found that AN and MAN form with BD copolymers of essentially 1:1 composition; MMA, and particularly MA were found, however, to form with BD copolymers of a composition different from 1:1.In competition with the copolymerization, a Diels‐Alder reaction was shown to occur in the investigated systems. AbstractEffects of salts, solvents, and substituents on the reaction of cellulose with epoxy compounds were re‐investigated and compared with the published data. The salt effect could be described mainly by the electronegativity or the acidity of the cations, and also by the nucleophilicity or the basicity of the anions. The variation of the reaction with solvents for epoxy compounds could be explained by the solubility parameter of the solvents. The substituent effect of the epoxy compounds on this addition reaction was elucidated by the modified Taft's equation, (logk−logk0)/σ*=(Qp–QsEs)/σ*. AbstractLineare ungesättigte Polyester sind durch ringöffnende Polymerisation von ungesättigten Lactonen mit isolierten Doppelbindungen in Gegenwart bestimmter Metathese‐Katalysatoren wie WCl6/(CH3)4Sn darzustellen. Die Polymerisation der Modellsubstanz Ambrettolid (7‐Hexadecen‐16‐olid) liefert bei milden Reaktionsbedingungen einen ungesättigten Polyester mit hohem Molekulargewicht (M̄n=95 000). Damit ist auch ein neuer Syntheseweg aufgezeigt, durch Copolymerisation von ungesättigtem Lacton mit Cycloolefinen zu linearen, vulkanisierbaren Polyester‐Kautschuk‐Copolymerisaten zu gelangen. Weiterhin wird die Insertion von Ambrettolid in ein Polyalkenylen (cis‐1,4‐Polybutadien) unter Bildung eines Polyester‐modifizierten Polyalkenylens beschrieben. AbstractDie ringöffnende Polymerisation von Estergruppen‐substituierten Cycloolefinen in Gegenwart geeigneter Metathese‐Katalysatoren wie WCl6/(CH3)4Sn führt zu linearen Polyalkenylenen mit seitenständigen Estergruppen. Die Ausgangsmonomeren 9‐Äthoxycarbonyl‐bicyclo[6.1.0]non‐cis‐4‐en (3), 13‐Äthoxycarbonyl‐bicyclo[10.1.0]trideca‐trans‐4,trans‐8‐dien (5) und 3‐Äthoxycarbonyl‐tricyclo[3.2.1.02,4]oct‐6‐en (7) werden über eine Carbenreaktion mit Diazoessigsäureäthylester aus den Cycloolefinencis‐1,cis‐5‐Cyclooctadien (2),cis‐1,trans‐5,trans‐9‐Cyclododecatrien (4) und Norbornadien (6) erhalten.
