AbstractThe chelation of poly(O‐isophthaloylisophthalamide oxime) (1) with copper(II) ions was carried out under various conditions and with different copper(II) compounds. The effect of the chelation conditions on the metal content of the chelated polymer was studied. All polymers were characterized by IR spectra, solubilities, thermal analysis, and X‐ray diffraction. It was found that the copper(II) chelates of1are thermally less stable than the cyclized prepolymer. A soluble chelate polymer was obtained by the reaction of the polymeric ligand with theo‐phenylenediamine‐copper(II)

AbstractVerschiedene Möglichkeiten zur Darstellung von Makrozwitterionen ohne polare Gruppen in der Polymerkette werden diskutiert.Unter Verwendung von 3‐Dimethylaminopropyllithium als Initiator und Propansulton (2) als Kettenabbruchreagenz wurden α,ω‐bifunktionelle Poly(α‐methylstyrol)e4mit einer tert. Amino‐ und einer Lithiumsulfonat‐Endgruppe (Molekulargewichtsbereich ≈ 103; Bifunktionalität>90%) dargestellt. Die beiden Endgruppen wurden wie bei den entsprechenden monofunktionellen Polymeren analytisch (N,S) und spektroskopisch (IR und NMR) nachgewiesen.Obwohl die beiden Endgruppen der bifunktionellen Polymeren jeweils unabhängig in die freie Sulfonsäure‐Gruppe bzw. in die Trimethylammoniumjodid‐Gruppe quantitativ überführt werden konnten, gelang es nicht, im jeweils letzten Reaktionsschritt, Makrozwitterionen8zu erhalten: Die Sulfonsäure5lagerte sich entgegen den Erwartungen nicht oder kaum in Zwitterionen3um, so daß bei der Reaktion mit Diazomethan statt des Betains hauptsächlich der Sulfonsäure‐methylester entstand; außerdem trat weitgehender Verlust der Aminogruppe ein. Bei dem Poly(α‐methylstyrol) mit quart. Ammoniumjodid‐ und Lithiumsulfonat‐Endgruppe7wurde nach Abtrennung der Gegenionen (J⊖durch Ag2O und Li⊕durch Kationenaustausch) ebenfalls ein weitgehender

AbstractMerckogel OR 1000000®, ein käufliches makroretikulares Polyvinylacetatgel, wurde partiell verseift und durch Reaktion mit 3′‐O‐(β‐Benzoylpropionyl)thymidin‐5′‐chlorameisensäureester mit Nucleosid (0,5 mmol/g) beladen. Die Oligonucleotidsynthese an diesem Träger erfolgte in je drei Schritten: 1. der Phosphorylierung der 3′‐OH‐Gruppen mit β‐Cyanoäthylphosphat, 2. der Kondensation mit 3′‐O‐(β‐Benzoylpropionyl)thymidin und 3. der Abspaltung der Benzoylpropionylgruppen. Die Schritte 1 und 3 verliefen nahezu quantitativ, Schritt 2 mit ca. 50% Ausbeute. AbstractDurch Kondensationspolymerisation von 3‐ und 4‐Isothiocyanatobenzoyl‐ω‐aminocarbonsäuren (1a–e, 2a–cu.3a–d) bei 200°C wurden Copolyamide gewonnen, welche stets einen aliphatischen und einen aromatischen Aminoacylrest im Verhältnis 1 : 1 enthalten. AbstractOn a synthétisé à l'aide de la technique de polymérisation par voie anionique des copolymères biséquencés polystyrène/polydiméthylsiloxane et polyisoprène/polydiméthylsiloxane. On a effectué la polymérisation du premier monomère (styrène ou isoprène) en milieu cyclohexane avec comme promoteur lesec‐butyllithium, celle du second monomère (hexaméthylcyclotrisiloxane) en milieu solvant binaire (cyclohexane‐diglyme).Les échantillons ont été fractionnés par addition progressive de méthanol à leur solution dans le benzène. On a caractérisé les différentes fractions par chromatographie sur gel perméable (GPC), diffusion de la lumière, osmométrie et analyse élémentaire. AbstractPolyesters with a pendant 9‐carbazolyl group were prepared by polycondensation of 9‐[5,5‐bis(hydroxymethyl)hexyl]carbazole (1a) with diethyl malonate, dimethyl terephthalate, and adipoyl chloride. Charge transfer complex formation of these polyesters and their monomeric model compound with 2,4,7‐trinitrofluorenone (TNF) was investigated by means of absorption spectroscopy in 1,2‐dichloroethane.Stability constants (K) of the polymeric systems were always larger than that of the monomeric system in the following order: polymer3c(with the terephthaloyl unit)>polymer3a(with the malonyl unit) ≈ polymer3b(with the adipoyl unit)>9‐[5,5‐bis‐(acetoxymethyl)hexyl]carbazole (2b).From the measurements of monomer and excimer emission in dilute solutions, interactions between the 9‐carbazolyl groups are discussed for the polymers and the monomeric model compound.
