AbstractDer Einsatz von Festbettreaktoren bietet sich für die kontinuierliche Umesterung von Fetten mit immobilisierten Lipasen ohne den Zusatz von organischen Lösungsmitteln an. Die verfahrenstechnischen Parameter zur Entwicklung und Auslegung eines solchen Prozesses wurden untersucht. Die Kinetik der Umesterung wird im Festbett durch das Auswaschen von Wasser aus dem Biokatalysator durch das Substrat beeinflußt. Äußere Stofftransportbehinderungen bestehen nicht, Porendiffusion erniedrigt jedoch die Reaktionsrate. Der Druckabfall an der Biokatalysatorschüttung ist bei Temperaturen über 60°C akzeptabel. AbstractEndständig ungesättigte C10–C14‐Fettsäuremethylester (9‐Decen‐, 10‐Undecen‐ und 13‐Tetradecensäuremethylester) wurden unter Katalyse von PdCl2/CuCl2bei Raumtemperatur mittels O2/H2O zu Methylketofettsäuremethylester oxidiert (Ausbeuten: 60–75% isoliert). Mit RhCl3/FeCl3wurden bei 80°C Ausbeuten von 40–60% erzielt. Erstmals konnte auch Ölsäuremethylester palladiumkatalysiert direkt ketonisiert werden. In DMF.H2O betrug die Selektivität zu 9 udn 10‐Oxostearinsäuremethylester 85% (Rest: Isomere), in Dioxan/H2O sank die Selektivität auf 55% bei gleichzeitiger Steigerung der Ausbeute an Oxostearinsäuremethylestern auf 70%. Die Mn‐katalysierte oxidative Spaltung der Methylketofettsäureester mittels O2führte bei 115°C zu Gemischen aus jeweils zwei Dicarbonsäure‐monoestern im molaren Verhältnis von 2 : 1. Ausgehend von 9‐Oxodecansäure wurden bei einem Umsatz von 90% Azelain‐ und Korksäure erhalten. Analog wurden 10‐Oxoundecansäure in C10/C9‐ und 13‐Oxotetradecansäure in C13/C12‐Dicarbonsäuren überführt. Die oxidative Spaltung von 9‐/10‐Oxostearinsäuremethylester führte zu Gemischen von

AbstractFree radicals can disturb the intracellular homeostasis by either modification of essential free sulfhydryl groups or by inducing lipid peroxidation. The damage provoked by oxidation of sulfhydryl groups might be reversible but the damage induced by the process of lipid peroxidation is probably not reversible. The main protective constituents of the cell are thiols and vitamin E. Thiols, especially glutathione, protect the cytosol while vitamin E protects the lipid membranes against free radicals. In the scavenging of free radicals in the lipid membrane, vitamin E becomes oxidized. However continuous recycling of vitamin E by a reductase, with the cytosolic thiol glutathione as cofactor, will keep the vitamin E levels high enough to protect against lipid peroxidation. In the recycling glutathione is oxidized. Dihydrolipoic acid cannot provide directly reducing equivalents for the recycling of vitamin E by the free radical reductase. However indirectly, via the reduction of oxidized glutathione, dihydrolipoic acid can mediate the regeneration of vitamin E. One of the secondary mechanisms that mediates free radical induced damage is the rise in intracellular free Ca2+‐concentration caused by inactivation of the endoplasmic reticulum ca2+‐ATPase. The Ca2+‐ATPase can be inactivated either by sulfhydryl alkylation or by lipid peroxidation. The authors used the thiol‐alkylating agent N‐ethylmaleimide, cystamine and ebselen. Dithiothreitol reversed the inhibition caused by all the three agents, while dihydrolipoic acid reversed the inhibition caused by ebselen. Glutathione was not able to reverse the effects of the sulfhydryl reactive agents. AbstractFür die Beschaffung von Anlagen müssen dem Anbieter vom Anfrager bzw. Kunden kennzeichnende Daten zur Verfügung gestellt werden. In der Praxis schwankt der Umfang der Angaben zwischen einem fünfzeiligen Brief und einem Tender von mehreren hundert Seiten. Objective und aussagekräftige Kriterien für die Angebotsbearbeitung durch das Ingenieurbüro auf der einen — und der Vergleich von Angeboten durch den Bedarfsträger auf der anderen Seite — sind ein Verfügbarkeitsproblem. AbstractOn the basis of a Thyroidea Stimulating Test (TSH‐Test) with rats ‐ rapeseed protein products fromBrassica napus, Var. Solux (industrial rapeseed meal = REM; rapeseed protein isolate = RPI prepared from REM by extraction, ultra‐ and diafiltration; rapeseed extraction residue = RER, results after the protein extraction of REM) were tested with regard to their thyreotoxical efficacy. As expected the REM shows a strong thyreotoxic effect. In contrast to that and in comparison to a control diet the RER caused no negative effects on the thyroidea functions.
