摘要:
An approximation to the form of the multi‐point interactions is combined with the mean value theorem and coincident properties of the distribution functions to produce a closed set of equations. The solution for isotropic flow is similar to that previously obtained by discarding three‐point interactions.

A concise and accurate result for the temperature‐jump coefficient based on the linearized BGK model and arbitrary accommodation is reported. The jump coefficient is expressed as a power series in (1‐&agr;), and values of the expansion coefficients are given.

Calculations of the electrical conductivity of a partially ionized gas with assumed model functions representing electron‐neutral particle collision cross sections have been extended to new models characterizing the Ramsauer minima. Consistent patterns are noted in the present and earlier results.

The influence of Hall currents on hydromagnetic Poiseuille flow in an annular channel is discussed using the Runge–Kutta–Merson method. The axial flow is found to be enhanced by Hall currents and the particles swirl around the inner cylinder.
