Green's function analyses of ion acoustic waves in streaming plasmas show that, in general, the waves damp algebraically rather than exponentially with distance from exciter.

Numerical simulation and analytic models are used to predict spontaneous magnetic field generation in laser‐produced plasmas. Calculations indicate magnetic fields are important for plasmas of controlled fusion interest.

It is shown that multipole‐like solutions exist for an equilibrium plasma carrying nonuniform current. A special case is obtained where flux constant surfaces resemble the figure eight.
