摘要:
Fibroepithelial stromal polyps of the vulvovaginal region often feature in the consultation practice of gynecologic and soft tissue pathologists. This reflects the broad morphogenic spectrum of these polyps, which may include worrisome pseudosarcomatous features, such as high cellularity, cytologic pleomorphism, and abnormal mitoses. Despite such features, the clinical course is bengin. This emphasizes the importance of accurately diagnosing these polyps to distinguish them from a variety of neoplastic lesions, including sarcomas, which may arise in this anatomic location.
