摘要:
The following presumptive sense receptors of adultMulticotyle purvisifrom the intestine of freshwater turtles in Malaya are described by transmission electron microscopy: disc‐like receptor with many electron‐dense collars and modified ciliary rootlet forming a ‘disc’; non‐ciliate receptor with long rootlet; non‐ciliate receptor with branching rootlet and dense mass of irregularly arranged microtubules; non‐ciliate receptor with rootlet fanning out from basal body, cross‐striated in its upper and with electron‐dense structures in its lower part; uniciliate receptor with thick layer of cytoplasm around axoneme; receptor with short cilium, at base of deep invagination of tegument; receptor with short cilium terminating in an electron‐dense apical cap; and uniciliate receptor with long cilium. In addition, there may be a small non‐ciliate receptor with a long ciliary rootlet at the base of the thick dorsal tegument, and uniciliate receptors differing from the uniciliate receptor with long cilium in the number of electron‐dense collars and the length of the cilium and ciliary rootlet. Implications of the findings for the phylogeny of the parasitic Platyhelminthes and for evolutionary trends within that group arc discussed. The considerable degree of divergence of receptor types between the species of one family is attributed to the arch

摘要:
Fifty‐nine species of Tubifieidae are recorded from Belize on the Caribbean side of Central America. Twenty‐five are new to science:Ainudrilus geminussp.n.,Heronidrilus gravidussp.n.,Heterodrilus flexuosussp.n.,H. ranussp.n.,H. modestussp.n.,Coralliodrilus rugosussp.n.,C. randyisp.n.,Phallodrilus compactussp. n.,P. singularissp.n.,P. vicinussp.n.,P. nasutussp.n.,P. bipartitussp.n.,Inanidrilus reginaesp.n.,Olavius finitimussp.n.,O. vacuussp.n.,O. (Olavius) pravussp.n.,Bathydrilus vetustussp.n.,B. egenussp.n.,Thalassodrilides brunetisp.n.,Limnodriloides anxiussp.n.,L. majorsp.n.,L. sacculussp.n.,L. adversussp.n.,Smithsonidrilus appositussp.n.,S. involutussp.n. Phylogenetic analyses indicate thatHeterodrilusPierantoni, 1902,ThalassodrilidesBrinkhurst&Baker, 1979, andMarcusaedrilusRighi&Kanner, 1979, are paraphyletic taxa as previously defined. They are therefore revised to include also apomorphic species earlier attributed to separate genera; in so doing,Marcusaedrilusbecomes a junior synonym ofSmithsonidrilusBrinkhurst, 1966.Smithsonidrilus paupersp.n. (Peru), andS. multiglandularissp.n. (Florida and Puerto Rico) are also described, andLimnodriloides clavigerErséus, 1982 is regarded as a synonym ofL. pierantonii(Hrabě,

摘要:
Two large (500‐700 mm) species ofMartiodrilusMichaelsen, 1937 are described from central Panama and southern Colombia. Both have polystomate nephridia, some reduced head segments, and complex folded typhlosoles. The first two conditions arc known fromM. crassus Rosa 1896 and Thamnodriloides yunkeriGates 1968. The systematic importance of polystomate nephridia and segment loss cannot be resolved without further information. Segment loss is common and variable within other glossoscoleeid genera. The two species differ as follows, the characteristics ofM. olivaceousgiven first: tubercula pubertatis in xvii‐xxv vs xviii‐xxiv; small blood vessels parallel to the commissures and connected to the calciferous glands in vii‐ix vs lacking these vessels; dorsal trunk ending in v vs ending in vii; intestinal nephridia with 40‐50 nephrostomes vs 20‐30; peptonephridia all stomate vs peptonephridia astomate in iv‐vii; genital setae with 11 gouges in each of three rows, gouges ending 75 microns from tip vs 9 or 10 gouges per row, ending 200 microns from tip; spermathecae 1‐4 pairs per segment each with its own duct vs 2 pairs per segment, the two of a side sharin

摘要:
New material from the Atlantic sector of the Antarctic Ocean allows a revision of the Antarctic genus Notaeolidia Eliot, 1905. One new species (Notaeolidia schmekelae sp.n.) is described. N. depressa Eliot, 1905 and N. gigas Eliot, 1905, which arc poorly known, arc redescribed. N. rufopicta Thiele, 1912, N. robsoni Odhner, 1934, N. subgigas Odhner, 1944, N. alutacea Minichev, 1972 and N. flava Minichev, 1972 are synonymized with N. depressa. N. purpurea Eliot, 1905 is synonymized with N. gigas. The monogeneric family Notaeolidiidae Odhner, 1926. is characterized by the following autapomorphy: “nephroproct in front of the genital apertures”. Too little is known to elaborate the phylogenetic position of the family Notaeolidiidae within the cladobranch Nudibranc

摘要:
Seven of the tenLiphistiusspecies already known from Thailand and Burma are characterized; three new species,L. lannaianussp.n.,L. marginatussp.n.,L. thalebansp.n., and the males ofL.lordac Platnick&Scdgwiek andL. niphanaeOno are described. Taxonomy and relationships are discussed; considerable variation in female internal genitalia is shown. Notes are given on natural history, distribution, burrow structure, phenology and behaviour.

摘要:
Twelve of sixteenAtypusspecies previously described, and one undescribed, are examined.Atypus javanusThorell is re‐diagnosed and the male is described. The vulva of this species, and ofA. coreanusKim andA. karschiDönitz, arc illustrated for the first time. The taxonomic characters given by Kraus&Baur [Verh, naturw. Ver. Hamb. 17: 85–116(1974)] and additional details of male‐and female genital organs are discussed. A granular texture on male chelicerae and front legs, presumably a stridulatory apparatus, is noted and used for distinguishing species. A deep cymbial pit of unknown function is illustrated and discussed. Specific character combinations for the species examined are presented in a table. Notes on relationships, habitat, zoogeography, web, phenology and development are
