摘要:
The literature relating to the 145 nemertean species at one time or another included in the monostiliferoidean genusAmphiporusEhrenberg, 1831 is reviewed. Because the designated type species,A. albicans, must be declared anomen dubium, the status of the genus itself becomes uncertain. The 33 species which, at least in part, have previously been transferred to other genera are tabulated and the taxonomic status of the remaining forms is re‐evaluated. Most are identified asnomina nuda, nomina dubia, species inquirendaeor synonymous with other taxa, but one species,A. bimaculatus, is transferred to the genusNipponnemerte

摘要:
The structure and arrangement of appendages (scalids) on the head of the homalorhagid kinorhynchKinorhynchus phyllotropisBrown&Higgins, 1983 are named, described and illustrated. In adults of this species, seven rings of external scalids are separated by segment boundary structures from the oral styles and three rings of internal scalids. All of these appendages contain ciliated receptor cells which pass to pores at the scalid tips, and all but the two anterior rings are jointed. All of these appendages are radially arranged in multiples of five, and closely associated with the ten lobed circumoral nerve ring. The most posterior scalid ring consists of fourteen trichoscalids, of which six are longer than the other eight. The six longer trichoscalids are arranged in bilateral symmetry, two to each of the three facets of the body. Similarities between scalid arrangement in Kinorhyncha and Loricifera are discussed.

摘要:
Four species ofEunice [E. pennata(0. F. Müller, 1776),E. dubitataFauchald, 1974,E. norvegica(Linné, 1767), andE. harassii(Audouin&Milne‐Edwards, 1833)] and one species ofMarphysa [M. sp., close toM. sanguinea(Montagu, 1815)] are described and a branchial formula is proposed. The genusMarphysais reported from Scandinavian waters for the first time. The specimen ofMarphysastudied has tridentate composite falcigers as well as composite spinigers in the anterior setigers, whereasM. sanguineahas been reported to have composite spinigers only. The geographical distribution of all five species is given and intraspecific variation is discussed. Reports ofE. oerstedii(Stimpson, 1853) from Europe are discussed and specimens of this species are compared withE. dubitata. The behaviour ofE. pennataandE. dubitatahas been observed in aqua

摘要:
Each stomatopod sperm, aflagellate and obovoid, is surrounded by an electron dense coat. A spermatophore is absent. The discus‐shaped acrosome vesicle is penetrated and underlain by a straight, slender acrosome rod (perforatorium) ensheathed, below the vesicle, in subacrosomal material. Feulgen‐positive granular material, indicating chromatin, fills most of the length of the cell but there is no certain nuclear membrane. Two centrioles, consisting of doublets each with a radial “foot” as in decapods and peracarids, occur near the acrosome and like it are embedded in the chromatin. Myelin‐like membranes are associated with degenerating mitochondria in the posterior region of the cell. Thiéry‐positive granules are aggregated as a glycogen body posteriorly in the cell. Spermatozoa1 ultrastructure confirms monophyly of the mysid–amphipod–isopod– cumacean section of the Peracarida but affinities of the tanaids are uncertain. A closer phylogenetic relationship of Phyllocarida to the Branchiopoda than to the Malacostraca is suggested. A weak similarity (synapomorphy?) of syncarids and peracarids is the filiform perforatorium bipassing the nucleus. Stomatopods resemble decapods in their diffuse sperm chromatin but are placed below the syncarid–peracari

摘要:
A new genus,Stephonyx, is established for six species of scavenging lysianassoid amphipods currently included in the genusEuonyx. Stephonyxis distinguished from other lysianassoid genera by a combination of characters which include the structure of the mandibular molar, the structure of the spine‐teeth on maxilla 1, and a chelate gnathopod 1. Species ofEuonyxare considered to be commensals of echinoderms with modified mouthparts in which the mandibular molar is lost, the lacinia mobilis is vestigial and the spine‐teeth of maxilla 1 are simple and reduced in s

摘要:
Morphology and distributional patterns of antenna1 sensilla were compared between four species in three genera of Sphecidae. Sensilla placodea have plates that are raised to resemble low domes inArgogorytes mystaceusandA. fargeior low pegs inBembix rostrataandCerceris rybyensis. Sensilla basiconica occur in both sexes ofBembixandCerceris, but, similarly to Apidae (s. laf.), only in females ofArgogorytes. The antennae of the two species ofArgogorytesdiffer primarily in being larger inA. mysfaceus, thus permitting space for more sensilla. InBembix rostrata, the male antennae are adapted to function as ‘gripping’ org

摘要:
A new myctophid species,Diaphus pallidussp.n., was captured in the Gulf of Aden. The species can be distinguished from most of its congeners by the high number of dorsal fin rays and low number of gill rakers. It can be distinguished fromD. lucidus(Goode&Bean) by the form of the operculum and by the situation of some of the body photophores.
