摘要:
Paranemonia vouliagmeniensissp.n. is described from Vouliagmeni lake, a land‐locked, brackish water lake near the Saronikos Gulf, Greece. It differs fromParanemonia cinerea(Contarini, 1844) in being viviparous and in the size range of the nematocyst

摘要:
A common structural pattern (as observed under the SEM) in the main body of sectioned sclerites of the family Alcyoniidae, and octocorals in general, is the arrangement of acicular crystals in concentric layers. The crystals roughly follow the direction of the spicule axis, however, the sectioned tubercles of largeSinulariaspicules have the acicular crystals oriented in the direction of the tubercles (i.e. perpendicular to the spicule axis), contrary to the sectioned tubercles ofSarcophytonandLobophytumspicules. They reveal some rod‐like structures, furcating the acute processes at the top of the tubercles. Sectioned small, club‐likeSinulariasclerites show numerous tiny acicular crystals, oriented with their long axes at a fairly constant degree of inclination around a central axis. SEM studies of sectionedCladiellasclerites show a granulate structure organized in concentric layers, but lacking acicular crystals. The SilurianAtractosella cataractacashow important characters in common with Recent alcyoniid spec

摘要:
Craspedellahas a non‐ciliated epidermis with nuclei located in the epidermis and with short microvilli. There is a thin basal lamina and thick underlying fibrous matrix. Rhabdites are secreted through ducts lined by microtubules. Multiciliate sense receptors consist of bundles of dendrites in a depression of the epidermis. Each dendrite has a cilium with a cross‐striated rootlet; there are no electron‐dense collars. Spermatozoa have peripheral microtubules which in cross‐section are arranged in a ring‐like or spiral fashion, numerous electron‐dense granules, mitochondria and a nucleus; axonemes of the 9 +‘1’type are free for most of their length. Centrioles occur in some nerve fibres. InDidymorchisparts of the epidermis are ciliated and epidermal perikarya are ‘insunk’, connected to the surface part of the epidermis by a single cytoplasmic process. Epidermal cilia have cross‐striated vertical and horizontal rootlets. In the ciliary tips a short electron‐dense rod along the central pair of tubules extends to the tip, where it widens to become a terminal plate; peripheral doublets gradually disappear by losing their microtubules. Receptors observed are uniciliate. Spermatozoa are as inCraspedella. Ultrastructural evidence indicates thatCraspedellaandDidymorchisarc closely related and be

摘要:
Umagilla pacificasp.n. andU. karlingisp.n. are described. A revised definition of the genusUmagillaWahl, 1909 is given andNotothrixHickman, 1955 is reduced to a synonym ofUmagilla. The nature of the hard or sclerotic structures associated with the female system, especially the bursa, of umagillids is discussed and compared to similar structures in other turbellarians.Syndesmis evelinaeMarcus, 1968,S. glandulosaHyman, 1960,S. compactaKomschlies&Vande Vusse, 1980,S. mamillataKomschlies&Vande Vusse, 1980 ands. alcalaiKomschlies&Vande Vusse, 1980 are all transferred toSyndisyrinx.

摘要:
The anatomy of seven cocculinid species, representing four genera, is described. Two new genera are erected,ParacocculinaandCoccocrater, and a comparative account of all cocculinid species so far anatomically investigated is given. Definitions of six genera, mainly based on anatomical data, are presented. Variation at the species level is also discussed. The closest relatives of the Cocculinidae are found in the Bathysciadiidae, sharing a distinct gill type and similar coelomic conditions. Therefore, both families are united as the Cocculinoidea. The Lepetelloidea (Lepetellidae, Pseudococculinidae, Osteopeltidae, Bathyphytophilidae (?), Cocculinellidae, Addisoniidae and Choristellidae) are more distantly related and are classified, together with the Cocculinoidea, within the suborder Cocculiniformia. The Cocculiniformia are regarded as one of the earliest offshoots at the archaeogastropod level of organization, being secondarily modified in several respects.

摘要:
Taxonomic descriptions of five species treated anatomically in an accompanying paper by Haszprunar are given. Based on a new record from Florida, the type species ofCocculina, C. rathbuniDall, 1882, is treated, enabling other genera in the family to be compared anatomically to the type genus.Cocculina ovataSchepman, 1908 is recognized from continental shelf depths off the Philippines‐ Two new species ofCocculinaare described:C. baxteri, from the continental slope, Prince William Sound, Alaska, andC. cowani, from the continental slope off the Queen Charlotte Islands, British Columbia.Coccocrater agassizi(Dall, 1908) is newly reported and redescribed from the lower continental slope and abyss in the Gulf of Panam

摘要:
French abyssal campaigns SEABED 2 and DEMERABY to the Central Atlantic Ocean collected new specimens of the largest known amphipodAlicella giganteaChevreux in baited traps and for the first time by bottom trawling. Type material from the Madeira Abyssal Plain is fully redescribed. New Atlantic material and the new Pacific material reported by other authors elsewhere are compared to the types. Some aspects of feeding are investigated and an analysis of the stomach contents of a giant male specimen provides an estimate of minimum feeding rate for this necrophagous amphipod.

摘要:
A new species of freshwater prawn Macrobrachium bullatumsp.n. is described from the Alligator Rivers region of Northern Territory, Australia. The cutting edges of fingers of chelipeds (pereiopod 2) have rows of six opposing, equally spaced, large horny tubercles, interspersed between rows of stiff hairs. A key to Australian species of the genusMacrobrachiumis also given.
