摘要:
The concept of generalised decision feedback equalisation (g.d.f.e.) is introduced. Nonlinear equalisers operating according to this principle can outperform the decision feedback equaliser (d.f.e.) when the linear feedforward prefilter does not quite compensate for channel precursors. Two g.d.f.e. structures are derived from the Kalman filter equaliser (k.f.e.). Some simulation results are presented which allow the performance of the g.d.f.e. structures to be compared with that of the d.f.e. and of the k.f.e.

摘要:
An exact analysis technique is presented for a class of multirate digital filters. The class of multirate filters considered can be modelled as an interconnection of uniform-rate subsystems, each operating at a different sampling rate. The method is particularly suitable for the analysis of a recently proposed multiplierless multirate digital filter structure. A multiplierless fifth-order lowpass ladder filter example-is given

摘要:
In this contribution selected neuristor logic circuits performing such function as ‘OR’ ‘AND’ and ‘NOT’, as well as circuits realising neuristor diodes and neuristor gating circuits, using only a single neuristor line section, are presented. This simplifies significantly the realisation of complex neuristor logic systems leading to reduction of elements and power consumption in existing neuristor logic circuits

摘要:
A small-signal analysis of a simple emitter follower is performed to ascertain its effective output inductance as a function of circuit element values, transistor parameters and signal frequencies. It is shown that the low-frequency value of output inductance is directly proportional to the common emitter shortcircuit gain-bandwidth product. Moreover, the product of this inductance and the bandwidth over which the input port of an emitter follower behaves as a lowQreactive impedance is limited solely by transistor gainbandwidth product and collector junction capacitance

摘要:
A unified study of the applications of Volterra functional series to nonlinear-system analysis is presented with special emphasis on frequency-domain results which either have not been published before, or where rigour had been lacking. In particular, an in-depth analysis of the harmonic and intermodulation frequency components due to each Volterra kernel of a given order will be presented and explicit formulas which complement those already published will be given. The effects of manipulating various kernels, which need not be symmetric, on the overall response, as well as on the composite kernels will be investigated. These results are then applied to the analysis of dynamical systems described by a system of nonlinear state equations and a read-out map

摘要:
A qualitative theory of the circuit dynamics of the Josephson-junction device using a simple circuit model is developed. By examining trajectories on a cylindrical phase space and on the surface of a torus, respectively, the main features of thel/Vcharacteristics of the junction excited by D.C. and a.c. are explained, and their properties derived. These results lead to the interpretation of the steps of constant voltage in the a.c. characteristics as a manifestation of the synchronisation phenomenon
