摘要:
We present a mathematical framewirk to provide general well-posedness and approximation results for a class of models for piezoceramic activated constrained layer structures. The models include unbounded inputs from the piezo material and hysteresis in the viscoelastic constrained layers, and describe coupled bending and longitudinal vibrations in curved structural members. Families of linear/cubic splines are used to illustrate the approximation ideas.

Many applied problems can be reduced to finding a point in the intersection of sets. This paper is devoted to the analysis of projection methods for sets which admit a convex expansion. We extend the well-known Peano Kernel Theorem to a class of linear operatorsL : Cn+1([a,b];X}→ X, Xbeing a Branch space, which vanish on abstract polynomials of degree ≤n. We then recover, in the abstract setting, classical estimates of remainders in polynomials interpolation and quadrature formulas. Finally, we present an application to the error analysis of the trapezoidal time discretization scheme for parabolic evolution equations.

It is well-known in domain optimization that the derivative of a cost function with respect to the shape of a domain is a distribution with support lying in the boundary of the domain to be optimized. This existence result is completed with a constructive method giving an explicit expression of this distribution, which can be applied in general cases. The relationship between material and local derivates of any order, provided they are well-defined, is also investigated.
