摘要:
Diphenoxo-bridged dinuclear nickel(II) complexes of macrocyclic ligands having two cyano groups laterally introduced on a π-conjugated system within the ligands have been prepared and characterized. The reaction solvent DMF is coordinated to the nickel(II) ions to cause them high spin state. The antiferromagnetic interaction (J= ca. -10 cm−1) was observed between the nickel(II) ions.

摘要:
Optical properties of the monolayers of 5-(1-methyliniidazol-2-yl)- 10,15,20-tris(p-octyloxy-phenyl)porphyrin, 5-(1-methylpyrazol-4-yl)-10,15,20-tris(p-octyloxyphenyl)porphyrin and their zinc(II) complexes have been studied. The π-A isotherms and UV-vis spectra have revealed that the zinc(II) complexes form coordination assemblies between peripheral nitrogen atom and central zinc(II) ion at the air-water interface with very tight molecular packing.

摘要:
Iron-sulfur clusters containing a variety of ligands, [Fe4S4(SR)4]2-(R = 4-C6H4CHO, 4-C5H4N, 2-(4-NO2)C5H4N) were prepared as potential constituents for functional assembly. Preparation and structure of a mixed-cluster compound (Me4N)4[Fe(SPh)4] [Fe4S4(SPh)4], involving both rubredoxin and [4Fe-4S] ferredoxin model clusters, are also discussed.

摘要:
The crystal structure of the title complex was first determined, showing a dimeric copper form with the four carboxylate groups. The Cu···Cu distance is short, associated with the hydrogen bond link of the apically coordinated water molecules with the nearest neighbor vanillic hydroxyl group. The hydrogen bond links afford an infinite 3-D network.

摘要:
Surface monolayers consisting of cationic, halogen-bridged linear platinum complex and anionic amphiphiles are formed at the air-water interface. Lipophilic polyion complex prepared from lipid and one-dimensional platinum complex is dispersed in chloroform as an indigo-colored solution, which color is ascribed to charge transfer (CT) absorption of the halogen-bridged complex (PtII→PtIV). Upon heating the solution, the indigo color disappeared due to dissociation of the linear complex into molecular unit complexes. Oriented surface monolayer is formed on water by spreading the colorless chloroform solution. Appearance of the CT band in reflectance spectra of monolayers indicates that the one-dimensional halogen-bridged complex is reformed at the air-water interface. The present technique opens an avenue to dimension-controlled organization of linear halogen-bridged complexes.

摘要:
The temperature dependencies of UV-VIS-NIR, IR, and Raman spectra of an MMX-type halogen-bridged mixed-valence complex Pt2(dta)4I (dta= CH3CS2−) and the monovalent dimers Pt2(dta)4and Pt2(dta)4I2were investigated. The former undergoes a metal-insulator transition at 300 K, below which a characteristic splitting of C=S stretching mode was observed. The valence localization and its ordering are considered to occur coupled to the metal-insulator transition; -Pt2.5+-Pt2.5+-I-Pt2.5+-Pt2.5+-I- is for the metallic phase, while -Pt2+-Pt3+-I-Pt2+-Pt3+-I- for the insulating one.

摘要:
Structures of the thin film of bis(1,2-benzoquinonedioximato)Pt(II) formed on four kinds of alkali halides by epitaxial growth were analyzed by electron microscopy. The fabricated thin films exhibit new polymorphic structures, the β- and γ-forms. These structures appear depending on substrates used in epitaxial growth and are correlated to the optical spectra of these films.

摘要:
Diplatinum(II) complex, Pt2(EtCS2)4, is synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystal structure analysis using a synchrotron radiation at SPring-8. The crystal structure consists of diplatinum units stacking in columns along the four-fold axis, with intra and interdimer Pt-Pt distances of 2.764(1) and 3.428 (1) Å, respectively.

Reaction of tetrakis(pivalato)diruthenium(II,III) cation dimer and 9,10-anthraquinone (aq) gave two kinds of adducts, [{Ru2(piv)4(H2O)}2(aq)]-(BF4)2(1) (pivH = pivalic acid) and [Ru2(piv)4(aq)]n(2), depending on the condition.
