摘要:
Cobalt(II) assembled complex compound, {[Co(CA)(bipym)](H2O)2}n(H2CA = chloranilie acid, bipym = 2,2′-bipyrimidine) (1) has been synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound1crystalizes in the monoclinic, space groupC2/c(#15), witha= 16.652(4) Å,b= 11.163(3) Å,c= 10.081(3) Å, β = 116.12(2)°,V= 1682.4(7) Å3,Z= 4. The bipym ligands bridge the cobalt centers in bis-bidentate fashion and make zigzag chains. The chains form layer structures by stacking interaction and hydrogen bonding interaction with the help of interstitial water molecules. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of1shows intramolecular antiferromagnetic interaction with θ = - 39.7 K.

摘要:
A new type of cyanide-bridged bimetallic assemblies, [Ni(chxn)2]3[M(CN)6]2·2H2O (chxn = 1,2-trans-cyclohexanediamine; M3+= Fe (1), Co (2)), have been prepared. The X-ray crystallography for the assemblies has proved a 2-D network comprised of M6Ni6dodecagon units extended by M-CN-Ni linkage. Compound1shows a ferromagnetic spin-exchange interaction between the adjacent Fe(III) and Ni(II) ions through cyanide bridge and a long-range magnetic ordering below 13.1 K.

摘要:
A novel amphiphilic Ru complex, [Ru(L18)(pdc)], was synthesized, where L18=2,6-bis(2′-(1′-octadecylbenzimidazolyl))pyridine and pdc = 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylate. When this complex was spread on the air-water interface as a Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) monolayer, the chemical reaction at the interface with water occurred. The resulting product at the interface could be transferred on glass or indium-tin oxide (ITO) substrate as a stable LB film. The in-situ UV spectra indicates the MLCT band at 500 nm was shifted to a longer wave-length (680 nm). The v(CO) stretching of [Ru(L18)(pdc)] was changed from 1646 cm−1to 1735 cm−1. These results strongly suggest that the coordinated carboxylate groups were protonated at the air-water interface to obtain the [Ru(L18)(py(COOH)2)(OH)2].

Poly(2,2′-bipyridine-5,5′-diyl) (PBpy) (1) and a polymer of 2,2′-bipyrimidine (PBpym) (2) afford polymer complexes (3) and (4) coordinated with [Ru(bpy)2]2+fragments, respectively. The UV-vis spectrum of (4) in conc. H2SO4is considerably different from2in conc. H2SO4. The poly(6,6-dimethylbipyridine-5,5′-diyl) (P6MeBpy) (5) reacts with a ruthenium complex, [RuClCp*]4, (Cp*=pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) to give a new ruthenium complex (6).

摘要:
Treatment of anthracenebisresorcinol (1·4H) with La(OiPr)3and binaphthol (BN·2H) as a chiral ligand affords an amorphous and insoluble 1:2:2 adduct (chiral La host) formulated as (1·2H)2-·2(LaBN)+. This formulation suggests that chiral La3+-binaphthoxide moieties are attached to the half-deprotonated hydrogen-bonded network of the host. The chiral La host catalyzes the Michael reaction of dimethyl malonate with cyclohexenone with ee ≡ 70%. The analogous chiral Al host (1·2H)2-·2(AlBN)+obtained from Al(CH3)3catalyzes the Diels-Alder reaction betweenN-crotonoyl-1,3-oxazolidin-2-one and cyclopentadiene with an ee of ∼75% for the minor exo product.

摘要:
The oxygen-binding affinity of the cobalt-picketfence-porphyrin (CoP) ligated with imidazole was enhanced in the presence of an additive which forms a hydrogen-bond with the ligated imidazole. The CoP complex with poly(4(5)-vinylimidazole-co-octylmethacrylate) rapidly and reversibly bound oxygen and showed very high oxygen-binding affinity: The oxygen transport in the CoP-polymer membrane was efficiently facilitated.

摘要:
The 4-electron reduction of oxygen to water in an acidic atmosphere (pH: 0.5) takes place on a glassy carbon electrode by electro-catalysis under the atmospheric conditions using the dinuclear Co-porphyrin-polyaniline complex. The π-conjugated polymer complex shows an excellent and stable catalytic activity in strong acidic conditions.

Factors influencing formation of [{Ru(2,2′-bipyridine)2(BL)}2Pt]6+complexes, where BL are 2,2′-bipyrimidine (bpm) and 2,3-bis-(2′-pyridyl)pyrazine (dpp), were discussed in terms of π-accepting/[sgrave]-donating properties of BL and strain energies of the complexes. [sgrave]-Donation from BL to Pt(II) is crucial in formation of the Pt(BL)2type bridging moiety; pyridine provides a stronger coordination bond than pyrazine or pyrimidine, while π-back donation seems less favored. Shifts in redox potentials suggest intramolecular Ru(II) to Pt(II) charge flow through BL. Adaptable conformation is also essential in the BL structure to reduce strain upon bridging two coordination cores. High bridging ability of dpp in the polymetallic synthesis is indicated.

摘要:
The mixed-valence state for (S,S), (R,R), and DL samples in 1′,1‴bis(2-phenylbutyl)-1,1″-biferrocenium salt was investigated and compared with that in 1′,1‴-bis(2-methylbutyl)- 1,1″-biferrocenium triiodide. The difference between them was attributed to the effect of benzene ring. It was understood that the packing effect becomes more substantial by introducing the benzene ring in the substituent.
