摘要:
Three indolylfulgenates possessing diesters of 14-crown-4 (2), 17-crown-5 (3), and 20-crown-6 (4) groups were synthesized and their photochromic behaviors in the presence or absence of alkali metal cations (Li+, Na+, K+) were investigated. Notable features are: (1) The association constant of Na+was the largest for3, and that for K+was the largest for4, (2) The association of E- and Z-forms are stronger than C-form. (3) In the cases of Na+-3and K+-4, no photocoloration occurred. (4) As for the photochromism of2, no effects of alkali metal species were observed. These phenomena were elucidated by molecular mechanics calculations.

Crowned bis(spirobenzopyran)1can bind a divalent metal ion Ca2+more powerfully than monovalent alkali metal ions due to the doubly armed ionic interaction. The Ca2+complexation and selectivity between Ca2+and K+can be controlled by turning on and off visible light.

摘要:
ABATRACT The photochromic behavior of 2-phenyl-2-(thien-2-yl)-2H-benzo [b]furano[3,2-f]benzopyran (1) and 2,2-diphenyl-2H-benzo[b] furano[3,2-f]benzopyran (2) was examined by the nanosecond laser photolysis and normal time scale analysis. The results showed that the thienyl group could stabilize the colored forms as compared with the phenyl group and both singlet and triplet states were involved in the formation of the colored forms.

摘要:
A series of novel bis-spironaphthooxazines (3a∼3i) and (4) containing a phosphoryl group were synthesized in 70∼91% yield. Their photochromic behaviors and photostabilty were investigated with the aid of absorption spectral measurements, showing that they exhibited higher fatigue resistance in the coloration and decoloration cycle than that of the parent reference compound1.

A novel ferrocene-modified bis(spirobenzopyran) was designed and synthesized. The spirobenzopyran possesses two photochromic moieties, which were tethered to two cyclopenta-dienyl rings of ferrocene via ethynediyl spacers. Photochromic properties of the spirobenzopyran were investigated in the absence and presence of various metal cations.

摘要:
A spirobenzothiapyran derivative bearing a monoaza-12-crown-4 moiety shows remarkable stabilization of its photoinduced colored isomer (merocyanine form) by complexation of a metal ion, especially Li+and Ag+. Comparison of the crowned spirobenzothiapyran with its corresponding spirobenzopyran derivative indicates that the stabilization of the merocyanine form in the presence of Li+and Ag+are derived mainly from the metal-ion complexing ability of its crown ether moiety and the metal-ion affinity of its merocyanine thiophenolate anion, respectively.
