摘要:
Uniform hydrogenated oligo(isopcene)carboKylic acid N-alkanolamides were prepared in high yields by living anionic oligomerizalion of isoprene, followed by carboxylaliou with dry ice, hydrogcnaiion, then amidauon with several commercial alkanolamincs.

摘要:
Three sunscreen compounds, p-amino benzoic acid (PABA), octyl-di-methyl-p-amino benzoic acid (ODP), and 2-hydroxy-4-methyoxy-5-sulfobenzophenone (HMSB) were incorporated into a model microemulsion system stabilized by sodium dodecyl sulfate and pentanol.

摘要:
The present study reports the phase diagrams of two salicylate components in the presence of non-ionic surfactants, water and mineral oil. The phase diagrams show that 1% Methyl Salicylate enhances the fine emulsion formation, unlike 3% MS and 1% and 3%Sodium Salicylate which reduce the total emulsion phase region. The data obtained through interfacial tension measurements are used to confirm these phase behaviors.

摘要:
The influence of SDS (a hydrotrope) on the region of stability of a microemulsion of water, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), pentanol (C3OH) and p-xylene was determined. The addition of the hydrotrope united the O/W and W/O regions of the phase diagram enlarging the bicontinuous region by reducing the lamellar liquid crystal one. Hence, the phase behavior and the low angle x-ray measurements show that the stratum corneum coupling action of a hydrotrope is in

摘要:
Micelle diffusion coefficient of SDS with different micelle shape in aqueous and water-ethanol solutions are determined by cyclic voltammetry without any probe. The diffusion coefficient decreases with as increasing SDS concentration. The first critical micellar concentration is 8.0xl03, mol 11.corresponding to the transformation from premicelle to spherical micelle. The second critical micellar concentration is 5.60x102and corresponding to transformation from spherical micelle to rod-like micelle. The less the weight ratio of SDS to ethanol is, the larger the diffusion coefficient is. The influence of added water to the micelle solution is almost the same for SDS-ethanol-HaO system with different micelle shape. Mechanism of electrochemical reaction for SDS at platinum electrode is discussed as well.

摘要:
The apolar (Lifshitz van der Waals)component (yLW) and the polar [electron-acceptor (y ) and electron-donor (y ) ] parameters of the surface tension of more than sixty different clay and other mineral particles or surfaces have been measured, as well as their -potentials. It is essentially the y parameter that determines the hydrophobic (target;⩾y28 mJ/m1)or hydrophilicy ( ytarget;⩾28 mJ/mJ) character of the mineral surface.
