摘要:
The phase state of the lyotropic system (lecithin-Triton X114-water) was investigated by means of31P NMR. We established the coexistence of two stable lamellar phases with approximately equal weights of the three components in the samples.

摘要:
Adsorption studies of monosubstituted benzene molecules with various functional groups on doped lanthanum chromite/cyclohexane surface have been performed. The results from the adsorption study can be used in selecting appropriate anchoring groups on the dispersant. It was found that high amount of O relative lo La on the LaCrO3surface correlated with high amounts of adsorbed benzoic acid. Increase in the La content relative to the O on the powder surface increased the amount of adsorbed benzylamine. The high amount of benzoic acid adsorbed on 20% Ca-doped lanthanum chromite powder (Al)lated well with good colloidal stability caused by a carboxylic acid containing dispersant. Rheology experiments showed that a low degree of agglomeration is obtained using only a small amount of the carboxylic acid containing dispersant (Hypermer LP1). Etectrophoretic mobility measurements in water of this powder coated with the LP1 dispersant indicated electrosteric stabilisation.

摘要:
The phase diagram was determined of the system a fragrance oil, phenethyl alcohol, a commercial triblock copolymer, PE/L101, and water. The stability of emulsions containing 95 wt% water and various amounts of the fragrance and polymer was investigated both visually and with the aid of an optical microscope. The stability of the two-phase emulsions was explained through the interfacial behavior of the polymer and the density change of the oil phase. Double emulsions were found to form when the oil phase composition is close to that of the L2phase with maximum water solubilization.

摘要:
The micellization behavior of hexadecylpyridinium chloride usually called cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) in presence of sodium salicylate ( NaSal) has been investigated. The surface tension, conductance and microcalorimetric methods have been employed to determine the critical micellar concentration (CMC) of CPC and NaSal mixed in different molar proportions. The interfacial area occupied by CPC in presence of NaSal, the free energy of adsorption and the energetics of micellizatton have been evaluated. The enthalpy of interaction of NaSal with CPC micelle has also been estimated from microcalorimetric measurements. The shear viscosity of the CPC-NaSal combination at equimolar proportion at different surfactant concentration and temperature, and also the shear viscosity of CPC-NaSal combination at different molarity ratios with a fixed surfactant concentration have been determined. The static and dynamic light scattering measurements of the CPC-NaSal system at different composition and in presence of NaCl have been reported. Worm-like micelles of concentration dependent dimension and intermicellar repulsive interaction have been envisaged.

摘要:
The amphiphilic association structures were determined in the system; water, Laureth 4 (approximately C12(EO)4), and the ionic liquid l-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim[PF6]), using visual observation and small angle x-ray diffraction. The system showed a lamellar liquid crystal solubilizing the ionic liquid ([bmim[PF6]) to a maximum of 15%, an isotropic surfactant solution dissolving the ionic liquid to a maximum of 39%, an isotropic ionic liquid solution with less than 0.5% of water and surfactant and finally, an aqueous solution with only traces of surfactant and ionic liquid. The small angle x-ray diffraction results showed the ionic liquid to be solubilized into the lamellar liquid crystal without changing the dimensions of the amphiphile layer or the interlayer spacing dependence on the water content.

摘要:
The effect of Fe (II) metallomicelle as a model of catalase, which was formed by adding surfactants (CTAB, SDS, LSS, Brij35) in Fe (II) -trien complex of molar ratios 1: 500 on the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide was investigated at 20°C and 30°C in pH 10 using KI-color and UV Spectrophotometry. A kinetic model for metallomicellar catalysis was proposed. The association constant of the ternary complex K and the rate constant of the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide k3 were obtained. The results indicate that the metallomicelles making up of Fe (II) metal complex and cationic or nonionic surfactants have obvious catalysis on the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide, but the metallomicelles making up of Fe (II) metal complex and anionic or zwitterionic surfactants have inhibition on this reaction.

摘要:
A nuclear magnetic resonance diffusion and relaxation investigation of the mixed micellar system sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS)/sodium cholate (SC) is presented. The concentration of SDS is kept constant at 15 mM and the concentration of SC is varied up to a total SC concentration of 100 mM. The diffusion coefficients of SDS and SC and the2H relaxation rates of specifically2H labeled SDS are measured. These quantities are used in the description of the distribution of the two surfactants in the various environments (as monomers in solution and associated into micelles). A theoretical framework based on the Bragg-Williams model is used to qualitatively describe the data.
