摘要:
This paper presents a survey of mathematical methods for describing complex flow behavior with a minimum number of useful parameters. The use of these techniques allows rheological measurements to be employed as an effective tool for characterizing a broad range of industrial fluids. The discussion also describes several of the more common viscometers and presents useful computer programs for these.

摘要:
The concept of probability distribution plays a centrol role in mathematical statistics and probability theory. The application of this concept to physical problems can be found in equilibrium statistical mechanics or thermodynamics [1–3], the kinetic theory of gas [1,2], the size distributions of colloidal particles and polymers [4,5], polymer configuration [6], etc. However, the extent of using the distribution formalism varies from one application to another Surprisingly, statistical mechanics appears to be the least in adopting such a formalism [7], as reflected in its dealing with the fundamental distributions in an ensemble.

摘要:
Foams are colloidal systems containing a gas as the dispersed phase. The continuous phase may be liquid or solid. Foams possess a very large interfacial area. Conventional foams consist of a porous structure having more or less regular unit cells, either open or closed, which are usually formed by generating a gas in a polymerizing resin matrix.
