摘要:
Four novel annonaceous acetogenins, montanacins B-E(1-4) were isolated fromAnnona montana(Annonaceae). Montanacins D and E contain a tetrahydropyran ring along with a nonadjacent tetrahydrofuran ring, belonging to the most unusual type of acetogenins discovered so far.

A new xanthone (1) was isolated together with nine known xanthones (2-10,12) and a known benzofuran (11) from the stems ofGarcinia kolaHeckel (Guttiferae) collected in Nigeria and their structures were characterized on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical evidence.

The iridoid 2′-coumaroyl mussaenosidic acid, isolated fromAvicennia germinans(Avicenniaceae), was analysed by NMR and molecular modeling: two isomeric forms were confirmed. In addition, the known compound1(6S, 9R) roseoside was isolated for the first time from this species ofAvicennia.

From the bulbs ofPolianthes tuberosaLinn., a novel steroidal saponin has been isolated. The molecular structure has been elucidated by extensive spectroscopic means and chemical reactions. The compounds has been identified as 2β,3β,16β,22β tetrahydroxycholesta-5-ene 16-O-β-D-apiofuranoside.

摘要:
Chemical investigation on the stems ofNothapodytes foetidahas resulted in the isolation of 9-methoxy-20-(S)-mappicine, a new minor constituent along with seven other known alkaloids. The structure of the new compound was established from spectral and chemical evidences. An efficient chemoenzymatic synthesis of the compound starting from 9-methoxycamptothecin, a known constituent of the plant, has been achieved.

摘要:
A new diarylnonanoid isolated fromMyristica ceylanicawas established as demethyldactyloidin by spectroscopic evidence and its chemical conversions to methyldactyloidin and diacetyldemethyldactyloidin. Three other diarylnonanoids, an arylalkanone, two lignans and isoflavone which are new to the species were also isolated from the same extract. Structures of these compounds were identified by comparison of the spectral data with previously reported compounds from other Myristicaceae species.

摘要:
A new phenalenone-type phytoanticipin 4′-dehydroxy-irenolone, has been isolated from healthy rhizomes of theMusaselected hybrid resistant cultivar SH-3481. The structure of the new substance was elucidated using spectroscopic data. The chemical shift for all the hydrogen and carbon atoms in the molecule were unambiguously established by mono and bidimensional, homo and heteronuclear NMR experiments.
