摘要:
A new diterpene acid isolated fromPogostemonauricularishas been characterized as (4R, 5S, 8R, 9S, 10S, 14R)-cleistanth-12, 15-dien-19-oic acid by spectral and X-ray crystallographic analyses. Further, the stereochemistry at C-4 of auricularic acid (7) and its 7-hydroxy(6), 7-acetoxy(5), 7-senecioxy(4)and 7-(3-methylbutyroxy)(3)derivatives has been revised.

摘要:
Two prenylated flavanones namely sigmoidin A (SA) and sigmoidin B (SB) have been extracted fromErythrina sigmoidea Hua, a plant of Cameroon traditionally used in local medicine. An antioxidant activity was found and ascribed either to a direct reaction with O2−or to a direct and/or indirect action on the membrane-bound enzyme NADPH oxidase. The formation of stable radicals was also demonstrated by electron spin resonance spectroscopy (ESR) and related to the antioxidant activity.
