摘要:
Novel indole alkaloidal artefacts possessing a cage skeletal system and incorporating an α-amino ketone moiety were obtained during isolation of alkaloids from a MalaysianKopsiaspecies. The structures of these alkaloids were elucidated by spectral methods and a possible pathway for the genesis of these artefacts is proposed.

摘要:
Leontice leontopetalum(Berberidaceae) of Jordanian origin has yielded a new alkaloid (+)O-methyldihydrosecoquettamine (3) along with the optically active (+) dihydrosecoquettamine (1). Their structures have been established through one and two-dimensional nmr and other spectroscopic techniques as well as by chemical transformations. A plausible biosynthetic pathway to these alkaloids is proposed.
