摘要:
Fresh undried winter leaves ofAzadirachta indicawere fed with [2-14C, 4R-3H1] MVA. Atomic and isotopic ratios in nimocinol & nimocinolide, thus isolated showed the loss of one14C from the side chain and four tritium atoms - one from side chain and three from apotetracyclic triterpene skeleton. The biosynthetic pathway thus established suggested the involvement of euphol (Δ8,9compound) which is isomerised to butyrospermol (Δ7,8compound) followed by an apo-rearrangement during which one methyl migrates from C-14 to C-8 and double bond from C-7 to C-14.

摘要:
While investigating the ring opening-closure process of the C ring of catharanthine (2), a new type of dimer (5) and two rearranged “monomeric” compounds (3,4) have been obtained. In the course of the coupling process of the rearranged iboga-skeleton monomer (3) with vindoline (6) in the presence of ferric chloride in aqueous media three dimer compounds (7,8 and 9) have been produced.

摘要:
Pleurotin, dihydropleurotinic acid and leucopleurotin, metabolites previously isolated from cultures of aHohenbueheliaspecies, were obtained from cultures of the nematode-trapping deuteromyceteNematoctonus robustus. Crystals suitable for X-ray analysis were obtained from dihydropleurotinic acid. All three compounds exhibited antibacterial, antifungal and cytotoxic but no nematicidal activities. The production of these compounds byNematoctonus, a known anamorph ofHohenbueheliareveals also a close chemotaxonomic relationship between the sexual and imperfect stage of these basidiomycetes.
