The allenic derivatives of biologically active natural sesquiterpenes were synthesized by two reaction sequence: addition of Seyferth reagent producing dibromocyclopropanes then the allenic derivative formation by Hiyama reaction. the structure of all products was determined using1H and13C NMR.

Two novelent-kaurane diterpenoids, lungshengenin D(1) and F(2), were isolated fromIsodon lungshengensis.Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral evidence as 1α-hydroxy-3β-acetoxy-11β,16β-epoxy-ent-kauran-6-one and 1α-hydroxy-2β,3β,11β-triacetoxy-ent-kaur-16-ene-15-one, respectively.

Two new alkaloids, (+)-19(R)-hydroxyeburnamine and (-)-19(R)-hydroxy-isoeburnamine, in addition to the known eburnane compounds, (+)-eburnamonine and (+)-isoeburnamine, and the bisindole, kopsoffinol, were obtained from the stem extract ofKopsia dasyrachisand their structures were established by spectral methods and X-ray analysis.

Phytochemical studies on the ethanolic extract of the roots ofBuxus sempervirensof Turkish origin have yielded two novel triterpenoidal alkaloids, (+)-30-hydroxycyclomicrobuxene (1) and (-)-semperviroxazolidine (2). Their structures were established on the basis of extensive spectroscopic studies.
