摘要:
The certification procedure for the preparation of reference materials for ore, ore concentrates and coke samples is presented. Emphasis is put on the problems connected with the evaluation of analytical data, and the approach used to obtain consensus values and associated uncertainties is discussed. In this connection, the application of a certification parameter, to he established prior to the starting of a certification procedure, is suggested. This parameter could be of help in the evaluation of the feasibility of certification.

摘要:
47 reference samples of mineral raw materials were prepared by collaborative work of Czechoslovak geological laboratories; these reference samples include silicates, feldspars, kaolin, clays, fluorspars, baryta, carbonates, siliceous materials, ores of Pb‐Zn, Cu, Sb, Eg, Sn‐W and Ag‐Au. The pulverized samples were tested for homogeneity using analysis of variance. The analytical results were evaluated statistically; arithmetic mean, its confidence interval and values of precision and accuracy of the individual determinations were computed. Some analytical problems which were encountered during this study and which require further research work are also rep

摘要:
USCS reference sample marine mud MAG‐1 has been analyzed for 12 trace elements by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry (11 elements) and graphite furnace (Cd). Individual and mean values are given and compared to published data. Precision as % coefficient of variation is given and the relative accuracy of the method assessed in relation to established rock standard

摘要:
A sample of a granodiorite was prepared as a rock powder and as a glass powder and distributed to 35 laboratories for the determination of 6 constituents, commonly measured in rock analysis schemes. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the glass powder would prove to be more homogeneous, as determined by the precision of analyses, than the corresponding rock powder. Only one constituent, iron, has been determined with better precision in the glass sample than the rock powder, suggesting that iron is more randomly distributed in a glass than a rock powder where it is a component of minerals. The overall precision of the reported analyses is very good and compares very favourably with the precision of analyses indicated for the international standards GS‐N and SX

摘要:
Based on the most recent compilation of analytical data, a new set of “usable values” is calculated for six of the best known silicate rock reference samples produced by the U.S. Geological Survey. The latest version of the “best laboratories” method is described and results are compared with other recently published
