摘要:
AbstractStarting from the acylfuransla‐4aby aldol reaction of the Mukaiyama type the aldolslc, If, 2c, 2e, 2f, 3d, 3f, 4d, were prepared via the silyl enol etherslb‐4b. Dehydration of the aldols gave the α, β‐unsaturated ketoneslg, lj, 2g, 2i, 2j, 3h, 3j. Their olfactive properties are described. The 2‐acyl‐5‐methylfurans2g, 2i, 2jexhibit the most pl

摘要:
AbstractHydroformylation in the presence of tris(triphenylphosphine)rhodium carbonyl hydride RhHCO(PPh3)3was performed on selected terpenes: terpinolene,S(—)limonene, α‐ and β‐cedrenes, α‐ and β‐caryophyllenes and caryophyllene oxide. Except for terpinolene, in which only the trisubstituted endocyclic bond was hydroformylated. the double bonds affected were always exocyclic. These new fragrant compounds may be of use

摘要:
AbstractThe essential oils from the seeds ofAframomum melegueta(Roscoe) K. Schum.,A. danielli(Hook. f.) K. Schum. andA. sulcatum(Olive. and Hanb.) K. Schum. by hydrodistillation were analysed by GLC and GC‐MS. The essential oil ofA. meleguetapresents a characteristic composition with β‐caryophyllene(8.5%), α‐humulene(31.3%) and their epoxides (respectively 17.9% and 27.7%) as main constituents. With its high content of 1,8‐cineole(48.9%), theA. daniellioil can be related to other species of the same genus already studied. The sesquiterpenoid content ofA. sulcatumamounts to about 85%, mainly hydrocarbons (81%); among them, the guaienes are the most abundant (47.2%). Other constituents that are important markers of individual species include linalol (A. melegueta), β‐, limonene and α‐terpineol (A. daniellii), limonene and β‐seli

摘要:
AbstractBackhousia anisataVickery has been found to occur in two chemotypes. One chemotype containsE‐anethole (90+ %) as its major component with small amount of methyl chavicol (<5%) and very littleZ‐anethole(<0.1 %). The second chemotype contains methyl chavicol (60‐75%) as its major compound with smaller amounts ofE‐anethole (<25%) andZ‐anethole (<0.1%). In both cases the oil yield was 1‐1.5% based on f

摘要:
AbstractThe essential oil ofCalendula officinalisL. was obtained in low yield (0.3 %) by steam distillation with cohobation from flowers and whole plants. Sixty‐six components were identified by GC‐MS, mainly sesquiterpene alcohols: α‐cadinol was the main constituent (about 25%). The essential oil from the whole plant differed from that of the flowers by the presence of monoterpene hydrocarbons in addition to the al

摘要:
AbstractCommercial Cascarilla oil was fractionated by liquid chromatography on silica and alumina, and by preparative gas chromatography. On the basis of1H‐NMR,13C‐NMR, GC‐MS and GC‐FTIR data, 143 constituents were identified (75% of the oil). Five sesquiterpene hydrocarbons (II, III, V‐VII), a non‐terpenoid ester (VIII) and ketone (IX), two eudesmane alcohols (XI, XII), one sesquiterpene phenol (XIII), and a Clerodane diterpene (XIV) were new compounds. The stereochemistry of β‐cedren‐10‐ol (X), previously reported in Cascarilla, w

摘要:
AbstractCapillary gas chromatographic (HRGC) and on‐line coupled HRGC‐mass spectrometrical (HRGC‐MS) identifications of bound aroma compounds from wild (Fragaria vesca f. semperflorens) and cultivated (Fragaria X ananassa, cv. Korona) strawberry fruit were achieved after isolation of extracts obtained by Amberlite XAD‐2 adsorption and methanol elution followed by hydrolysis with a commercial pectinase enzyme. InF. vesca f. semperflorens37 andF. X ananassa33 aglycons were identified. Among them (S)‐2‐methylbutanoic acid, benzyl alcohol, 2,5‐dimethyl‐4‐hydroxy‐2H‐furan‐3‐one, benzoic acid andE‐cinnamic acid were found as major components. After per‐O‐methylation of a glycosidic extract isolated fromF. X ananassa, HRGC‐MS revealed the occurrence of benzyl β‐D‐glucopyranoside, 2‐(4‐hydroxyphenyl)ethyl β‐D‐glucopyranoside, and the diastereomeric 2,5‐dimethyl‐4‐hydroxy‐2H‐furan‐3‐one β‐D‐glucopyranosides. Chiral evaluation of enzymatically liberated 2,5‐dimethyl‐4‐hydroxy‐2H‐furan‐3‐one carried out by on‐line multidimensional capillary gas chr

摘要:
AbstractVolatile components of the ginger flower (Hedychium coronariumKoenig) were concentrated by solvent extraction and further simultaneous distillation and extraction (SDE). The essential oil was fractionated by column chromatography and analysed with GC and GC‐MS, and 131 compounds were identified. The ginger flower has a diffusive, sweet, spicy and floral scent and linalol, methyl jasmonate, eugenols, cis‐jasmone, β‐ionone and lactones were found to make a major contribution to the odour of this
