摘要:
AbstractThe present understanding of particle production processes in terms of the multi‐Regge pole exchange model is reviewed from the theoretical and phenomenological point of view. It is concluded that the model discussed up to the present represents many different features of the data. Further tests of the model are discusse

摘要:
AbstractStarting from a recent paper [13] we derive a new representation of the left‐hand cut contribution for the πN system. This representation makes it possible to calculate the generalized πN potential accurately from phase shifts and high energy models, because it contains only the imaginary parts of the partial wave amplitudes in the physical region. The analytic properties, the region of convergence and the physical content of this representation is discussed. We propose to use this left‐hand cut contribution in bootstrap calculations, because it is more reliable than the approximate expressions which have been used in previous papers. – The left‐hand cut contributions are calculated and compared with the nucleon and Δ (1236) approximation for the ƒ 0+(−), ƒ 1−(−), ƒ −(1+)and ƒ

摘要:
AbstractStarting from fixed‐tdispersion relations we derive a set of relations for the πN partial wave amplitudes, generalizing previous work of OEHME[1], CAPPSand TAKEDA[2], and CHEW, GOLDBERGER, LOWand NAMBU[3]. Our relations contain a single integral kernel, which is agiven in a closed form valid for arbitrary angular momentum. This kernel correlates the imaginary parts of all partial wave amplitudes with the partial wave amplitude under consideration. The partial wave relations give the correct threshold behaviour. The region of convergence is determined in the case of axiomatic field theory and in the case of Mandelstam analyticity. Possible applications are discuss
