摘要:
The liquefaction characteristics of Mengen lignite has been investigated in the presence of cobalt-molybdenum on alumina catalyst in a 1 lt batch autoclave system with anthracene oil used as solvent. The experiments were carried out in the range of 15–60 atm for initial hydrogen pressure, 360–440°C for reaction temperature, 1–5 for solvent to coal ratio and 0–20% of coal for catalyst loading which were chosen as process variables. Coal particle size and reaction time were kept constant as below 200 mesh and 30 minutes respectively, (Erdem 1987)

摘要:
Previous research has shown that low concentrations of thiols will act as radical traps to inhibit autoxidation. When added to a fuel, thiols accelerated the rate of oxygen reaction without a commensurate increase in peroxidation. Evidence for the oxidative addition of thiols to olefins has been found to occur by studying the addition of thiophenol to indene in a model fuel during stressing in the JFTOT apparatus. Two different thiol-indene adducts were found in the effluent, with the product distribution being temperature dependent. This process could account, in part, for the differences in thiol influences on autoxidation observed in model systems and in fuels.

摘要:
Products from alkane isomerization over various types of catalysts were examined. Rate constants were calculated by a new method called “two point method”. Network of this reaction has been quantitatively given. Experimental results could be well predicted with this method.

摘要:
The effect of operating conditions on the liquefaction behaviour of a Spanish lignite was studied using a 250 ml stirred autoclave, and the following operating conditions (except otherwise specified): 400 °C, 1 hour, 3.5 MPa initial (cold) H2pressure, 400 rpm and 40 g/10 g tetralin/coal charge. The liquefaction products were fractionated into oils, asphaltenes, preasphaltenes and solid residue using pentane, toluene and THF as extractive solvents

摘要:
The reactions that lead to fuel instability are the subject of conflicting reports in the literature. Confusion results from the difficulty in relating differences in fuel composition, temperature, surface effects and dissolved oxygen content that comprise the multitude of reported studies. Model studies offer a means by which the mechanism of an individual reaction can be related to a simple system and then extended to the more complex fuel media. This paper reports a model oxidation study of a cyclic sulfide, tetrahydrothiophene, with an active oxygen species, t-butyl hydroperoxide under mild reaction conditions, 120°C, in a tetradecane model fuel. The major oxidation product was tetrahydrothiophene sulfoxide from the sulfide and t-butanol from the hydroperoxide. The complete suite of products is reported.

摘要:
Eastern and Western U.S. and Australian oil shales were retorted in a fixed-bed, bench-scale retorter, using nitrogen and carbon dioxide as sweep gases. The resulting shale oils were chemically characterized by GC/MS techniques. Shale oils extracted by nitrogen and carbon dioxide retorting processes were found to have different chemical compositions, even when applied to the same oil shale samples. The extraction process dependent nature of shale oils is fully assessed in this paper and the information may be used for comparison among various extraction processes as well as for choosing appropriate upgrading processes for the crude shale oils.
