ABSTRACTIn part 1, the graptolite fauna of the upper Aeronian-lower Telychian (Llandovery) rocks of the Aberystwyth district is introduced. The subzonal divison of the mid-WelshSpirograptus guerichiandSpirograptus turriculatusbiozones is correlated with biozonal and subzonal schemes used elsewhere in the world. TheStimulgraptus utilisSubzone is divided into upper and lower parts. Species of the diplograptid generaGlyptograptusandPetalolithusare described.
