摘要:
AbstractIn the course of the emplacement of radioactive waste containers in a large store some kind of radiation minimization can be obtained . Since the filling of a real store can last as long as 10 years, the procedures of emplacement mustbe simulated in order to verify the quality of the optimization . Some results are reported of emplacement computer experiments with simulated sequences of radioactive waste containers and container batches and with different emplacement strate gies.

摘要:
AbstractHuman phonation is simulated, using a multiple- mass-spring model for the vocal cords and a transmission line model for the vocal tract, Attempts were made to simulate the effects pathologies have on the speech wave and the vibratory characteristics of the vocal fold tissue. Results indicate that changes 10 the mass and stiffness of the system can
cause a regular (subharmonic) component to appear with the fundamental oscillation. Irregular unsteady oscillation also occurs under certain conditions.

摘要:
AbstractA stationary state model of the asynchronous machine is the starting point of an investigation concerning the dependence of the modes of the electrical transient on the speed peculiar of a generical steady state condition.A root-locus isderived which evidences this dependence and a critical comparison is performed with numerical root locus pertaining to the linearized version of the non linear model which describes the machine in a slowly variable speed condition.

摘要:
AbstractLinear and non-linear differential equations are developed to model the blood concentrations of the human female hormones progesterone, luteinizing hormone (LH), foliicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and estrogen. The non-linear equation set is integrated numerically using a fourth order Runqe-Kutta algorithm.

摘要:
AbstractThe Evolution Strategy is a statistical optimization technique derived from the theory of Evolution, the process through which forms of life adapt themselves to a changing environment. Any system or process which can be described by a finite number of parameters and whose performance can be measured by a "Quality Number" may be optimized through the Evolution Strategy. The Evolution Strategy is especially well suited for experimental optimization whereby the "Objective Function" is unknown. The strongest argument for the Evolution Strategy is that it guarantees conversion to the "Global Optimum".The relative efficiency of the Evolution Strategy increases with the increase of the number of independent system parameters.

摘要:
AbstractIn this paper we describe a Generalized Database Management System (GDBMS) called System G, which has been developed and implemented on a VAX at UCLA. System G integrates the informational aspects of traditional relational databases withthe decisions and actions capabilities of a general decision system; it can handle data, actions and operational dynamics, and thus can be used for general system simulation.
