摘要:
AbstractIn this paper, a ten-joint 3-D kinematic model has been developed by carefully st.udymg the anatomy of the lower limb during bicycling for understandmg and analyzmg the complex motions of the joints. An optimization algorithm has also been developed and used to compute the Joint vanables and find the numerical solution. In order to simulate the indeterminate kinematic system, random vectors of multinormal distribution have been generated and statistical means and variances have been obtained from these random vector samples. The validity of the developed model has been checked by comparing the results with that of experim.ental measurements. The model developed has good desirability to descnbe the hmb and IS more accurate than 2-D models to predict the motion of lower extremities.

摘要:
AbstractThis article presents the application of fixed-lag smoothing algorithms to the problem of estimation of the phase and frequency of a sinusoidal carrier received in the presence of process noise and additive observation noise. A suboptimal structure consists of a phase-locked loop (PLL) followed by a post-loop correction to the phase and frequency estimates. When the PLL is operating under high signal-to-noise ratio, the phase detector is approximately linear, and the smoother equations then correspond to the optimal linear equations for an equivalent linear signal model. The performance of such a smoother can be predicted by linear filtering theory. However, if the PLL is operating near the threshold region of the signal-to-noise ratio, the phase detector cannot be assumed to be linear. Then the actual performance of the smoother can significantly differ from that predicted by linear theory. We present both the theoretical and simulated performance of such smoothers derived on the basis of various models for the phase and frequency processes.

摘要:
AbstractAn adequate mathematical model is required if induction machine drive behaviour is to be predicted accurately. The main flux saturation effect 1s of primary importance in a number of applications and therefore it cannot be ignored in the modelling procedure. Two nonlinear functions are present in the modified saturated induction machine model, namely, magnetizing flux and dynamic inductance, which have to be represented in a suitable manner. Different interpolation and approximation methods for these functions are considered in this article. The methods are compared with regard to the accuracy of digital simulation results and computer CPU time requirements. Comparison is done by simulat ing the induct Ion motor start ing process and the induction generator capacitive self-excitation. A method based on regression analysis is shown to be preferable.

摘要:
AbstractThe purpose of this study is to provide an overview of CIM as an integrated Decision Support System (DSS) and its component technologies in a conceputal and managerial rather than a technical context, and to analyze the organizational environment and managerial approaches required for a successful application of CIM. CIM is considered as the integration of computerized manufacturing systems at the shop-floor (CMS) and Management Information Systems (MIS). This implies an integrated, company-wide, and MIS approach toward CIM rather than a traditional, disintegrated, and functional attitude. In this context, new forms of organization for ClM are discussed. The organizational structure that“fits”CIM technology Is addressed and human issues and the critical functions that people must serve in a CIM implementation are analyzed.

摘要:
AbstractComputer vision is an active area of research and development for robotics, factory automation, and space applications. This paper describes how computer graphics modelling can be used to simulate and test vision systems. Applications of image processing techniques to computer-generated images are described and advantages of this system over physical modelling are discussed.

摘要:
AbstractIn this paper. the Identification of multlvariable continuous-time systems described by stochastic vector differential equations Is considered. It can be shown that although the noise term in the differential equation Is assum d a white one. after integrating the differential equation by using block-pulse functions scheme the noise term in the resultant algebraic equation b com s a correlated one. In order to get consistent estimates of system parameters. a prefi I tering technique is proposed to whi ten the correlated noise. A simulation example is used for illustration. Th singular value decomposition method is applied to the numerical computation and the simulation result Is quite satisfactory.

摘要:
AbstractThis survey paper considers possibilities ot usin&pattern recognition methods for prediction of product individual life time, rejection of potentially unreliable products and selection of those with different levels of reliability. Various pattern reoognition algorithms are described and their applicability to the problem of reliability forecasting modern oomponents is analysed. Also investigated are methods tor selection ot intormation-bearing sets of product parameters.
