摘要:
The lattice site of Er has been determined in LiNbO3:Mg, Er crystals by the Rutherford backscattering channeling technique. It has been shown unambiguously that Er occupies Li site in the crystal lattice. OH absorption band has not been found in the 3500–3525 cm−1region. The RBS result confirms the assumption that OH−ions may form defect complexes only with those trivalent impurities which replace niobium.

摘要:
Single crystals of Ti:LaMgAl11019 (LMA:Ti) of 40 mm in diameter and 80 mm in length have been pulled by the Czochralski method. Parasitic absorption bands at 580, 730, 980 and 1200 nm for the polarization F//C have been observed and their evolution with annealings in oxyding or reducing atmospheres have been studied. They may be associated with the formation of Ti2+ and Ti4+ in the LMA.

The nature of lattice disorder in electroreduced Zirconia is considered in the light of electrical and optical observations. Discussion about the relative role of metallic precipitates vs. point defects and electronic centres shows new points in favour of the latter.
