摘要:
This work concerns a parasitic N+PNN+transistor appearing in a power MOSFET. 2D Medici simulations point out a close correlation between the static characteristic and the transient values of both the current and the reverse bias of the transistor irradiated by a flash-X ray. The static characteristic points out a steady-state where the transistor behaves as a resistor. If the dose rate is sufficient, it can bring the transistor to the same steady-state. In both cases, this steady-state is reached after the same physical process: conduction of the emitter-base junction, shift of the electric field towards the NN+junction and highly avalanching conditions in the device.

摘要:
Natural rock salt samples of the 800 m depth level from the Asse mine, Remlingen, Germany were gammairradiated at 100°C with spent fuel elements from the High Flux Reactor at Petten, The Netherlands. Dose rates in the experiments varied between 200 and 20 kGy/h in monthly cycles. Total doses of up to 1200 MGy were reached. After irradiation the radiation induced stored energy was studied as a function of total dose. It was found that, initially there is an approximately linear increase of stored energy with increasing total dose, but that stored energy values level of at higher doses until a saturation value of about 140 J/g is reached. The results of the stored energy measurements are shown here and compared with those obtained by others for irradiated pure and K-doped NaCl single crystals.

摘要:
The influence of γ(Co60)-radiation at 102−106Gy doses on the structure, dark electroconductivity and optical properties of amorphous GeSe thin films obtained by the method of flash evaporation on the substrates at Ts= 293 K is being investigated. The results of the study show, that the observed effects are determined by the interconnected process of the local changes in the intermediate range order of the films and the radiation-induced defects formation.

摘要:
Irradiated polyamide-1010 (PA1010) with and without heat treatment after γ-ray irradiation was compared by wide angle x-ray diffraction (WAXD), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and the determination of gel fractions. The results indicate that post radiation effects due to post radiation crosslinking and scissions affect physical properties. Post radiation effects restrain the formation and perfection of the planes (010), and make the crystals imperfect. Post radiation effects change the crystalline structures of polyamide-1010.

摘要:
We have studied the sodium migration in β″-alumina systems irradiated by heavy energetic ions. The phenomenon has been discussed in terms of transport equations which include three main process: radiation enhanced diffusion, electric field assisted migration and preferential sputtering of the alkali element. We have developed a theoretical model which describes the process relating the diffusion constant, the sodium mobility and the electric field function to the characteristic effects of the radiation. The numerical solutions of this model indicate a Na+compositional profile strongly dependent on the form of the electric field function. A comparison with experimental results suggested and additional step in the procedure, which includes a subsequent bombardment of the sample with protons. This step simulates the acquisition of the profile by nuclear reaction techniques and adequately describes the experimental results.

摘要:
A method for irradiation-induced variation of the insulator-conductor transition of polymer composition, based on low density polyethylene (LDPE) elastificated with styrenebutadiene rubber (SBR) has been proposed. This method involves high energy irradiation of LDPE-SBR blends loaded with carbon black. The effect of the irradiation dose on the controlled steepness decrease of the transition from high-ohm to low-ohm condition of flexible polymeric compositions has been obtained.

摘要:
In order to identify the nature of small point defect clusters produced from cascade collisions, either made of interstitials or vacancies, an effective method is introduced in which the identification is made from the behavior of defects under electron irradiation. Material investigated is nickel neutron-irradiated with several facilities. Under electron irradiation, neutron-irradiation-induced defects having stacking fault tetrahedron (SFT) contrast shrank and disappeared, others having dislocation loop contrast grew. Majority of extremely small defects (≤ 1 nm), over 3/4 of all the defect clusters (bulk, 300 K) and about 95% of all the defect clusters (thin foil, 573 K), disappeared and are clarified to be of vacancy type. The size and spatial distributions of defect clusters in foil specimens and comparison of defect structures in thin foils with those in bulk disclosed the role of freely migrating interstitials.
