AbstractThe liquid drop energy and barrier height are calculated for the super heavy nuclei250X and251X, resulting from heavy ion reactions, at finite temperatures. Our calculations are compared with both the idealized nuclei250Es and251Es (being isobars of250X and251X) and that obtained by previous work. The main reason of the descrepancies between the present calculated values of the barrier height and the fissility parameters and those obtained by others are found to be mainly due to the important role of Coulomb energy over the surface energy for heavy nuclei. It has been found that the temperature has the effect lowering the fission barrier and shifting the saddle point to lower values.

AbstractIn this work a comparative study of the effect of iron loaded with B4C on the suppression of gamma‐rays in a laminated shield of water, iron and either ordinary or limenite concrete have been carried out. It was found that B4C loaded with iron has a remarkable effect on the suppression of gamma doses all through the laminated shield. The suppression is more pronounced in the concrete layer. AbstractDiese Arbeit versucht, eine Antwort auf die Frage zu geben, wieso Gravitationsphänomene gerade durch eine Theorie beschrieben werden, in welcher eine Riemannsche Metrik vorkommt, die den Einsteinschen Gleichungen genügen muß. Als Antwort wird nach einer Verbindungslinie gesucht, welche vom Maupertuisschen Prinzip ausgehend in den Einsteinschen Gleichungen endet. AbstractWe have investigated the Einstein relation inn‐channel inversion layers on A3IIB2Vsemiconductors at low temperatures on the basis of a newly derived dispersion relation of the carriers under arbitrary magnetic quantization for the general case which occurs from the consideration of the anisotropies of the band parameters within the frame work ofk·pformalism. It is found by incorporating both the effects of electron spin and broadening of Landau levels, usingn‐Cd3As2as an example, that the theoretical formulation is in qualitative agreement with the suggested experimental method of determining the Einstein relation in degenerate semiconductors having arbitrary dispersion law. In addition, the corresponding well‐known results for bulk specimens of two band Kane model both in the presence and absence of magnetic quantization, are also obtained from the generalized expressions as special
