摘要:
This paper reports on POEMS (Post-Operative Expert Medical System), which incorporates a diagnostic decision support system and a learning apprentice. The former embodies an object—oriented knowledge base and an incremental diagnostic engine which is based on a temporal modeller and a constraint based diagnoser. It employs an active user—interaction methodology for acquiring patient data, and a collaborative question- answering facility. The decision support system provides assistance to the doctors in order to reach diagnostic decisions, and helps to discriminate between multiple diagnoses. The learning apprentice actively acquires new diagnostic knowledge from patient cases and the medical expert's criticism of its diagnostic actions. It is based on an integrated machine learning methodology, Extended Exemplar—Based Learning (EExBL), which draws on exemplar—based learning, explanation—based learning, and similarity—based learning.

摘要:
Given a Railway network, a Rolling stock and a Timetable (RRT), it is a very difficult task to ex ante evaluate the loss of quality of the service offered to travelers in case of incidents. We have designed a System for Robustness Evaluation (SRE) to measure the effects of incidents. This system starts from the RRT then the decisions of the dispatchers, in case of incident, are simulated by an expert system. After the incidents are resolved, the resulting perturbed timetable is analysed along five criteria. This system is now completed. It appears as an integrated multicriteria decision support system which constitutes a very useful tool, both to appreciate the interest of investments intended to improve the network or the rolling stocks, and to guide the choice of a timetable. Moreover, starting from this case and according to our experience, we discuss some problems and issues met during the development of multicriteria DSSs.

摘要:
Comparing alternative choices is common in business decision making. When facing with a selection problem that involves a great number of choice alternatives, decision makers tend to adopt a sequential decision making process that consists of comparing pairs of alternatives, and dropping the least preferred one from consideration until the last one prevails. This study investigates two choice strategies: plan—ahead strategy vs. anchor-and-adjustment strategy. A laboratory experiment was conducted. It was found that (1) decision makers did have preference in performing choice by elimination, and (2) those who adopted an “anchor-and-adjustment” approach tended to perform better. Implications of the findings for DSS design are discussed.

摘要:
The field of decision support systems arose in the 1970s to assist decision makers in addressing problems in which only a limited amount of structure is present. An important class of such problems is the management of scenarios that describe future events of interest to a decision maker. In this paper we present a framework for scenario management based on relational algebra and fuzzy set theory. We illustrate the framework with scenarios concerning the future of Hong Kong after 1997.

摘要:
The paper focuses on the analysis of task structure in situations of collaborative work where the collaboration between actors is mainly the result of a process of task delegation between actors. This form of collaborative work, called logistic cooperation, is quite representative of the way senior executives work. More generally, the application domain of logistic cooperation also covers project management considered in its broad meaning. The paper provides a model where the structure of tasks and their assignment to actors is represented by two concepts, actor and task; and by three types of relationships, division, sequencing and distribution. In addition, the model provides a set of control and guiding rules that are key elements to manage the interdependencies between the respective lifes of the tasks defining a logistic cooperation situation. Finally, the paper outlines the functionalities of a software environment supporting logistic cooperation situations.

摘要:
In the context of alliances, mergers & acquisitions and divestitures of activities we propose an integrated approach to the strategy, to the organization and to the management based on an information system which on the one hand provides the actors with tools for change and on the other hand is the object of the change. First we give an overview of the mutation process and we briefly expose the principles and concepts we retain for an integrated approach to strategy, organisation and management in the context of mutations. Then we go all over the phases of the process to present how the procedures we identified in the context of alliances, mergers & acquisitions and divestitures of activities are supported by an information system which supports the decision and favors the creativity of the actors. Third, from the priniciples and concepts we retain, we create a meta—model that is the heart of the information system. It provides tools for designing changing situations of configurations of activities and permits to federate the thoughts of strategy, organization and management.

摘要:
Modeling of complex phenomenon simply with visibility, keeping their reality, is a foundation of collaborated decision systems like business planning, profit planning, etc. Those models are composed of extremely long causal relations, but fortunately major part of logic are occupied by rather simple logic elements like four arithmetic operations and table manipulations. Traditional approaches by spread sheets or simulation languages cannot support their complexities if scales of models exceed certain ranges. Ultimate solution having visibility and quick response for changes are to organize all the logic and data in tables. We perceived robust characteristics of Structured Matrix that can simultaneously handle both holonic+clustered relations. Here is essence of our 19 years' efforts, which is full of suggestions for future paradigm: Logic Base System.
