摘要:
This work is included in a wide field of research on the dynamics of synthetic chelates in calcareous soils of South‐East of Spain. Through the application of Freundlich isotherm to the process of formation‐decomposition of chelate FeEDDHA, equations of type: Cs= A . tn. Cmoare obtained, where A, n and m, are ctes., Cs, the concentration of iron chelated added to the soil, and t, interaction time of chelate with the soil. In this way we can predict the rhythm of the solution process of Fe in calcareous soils.

摘要:
A simple block digester for total soil N measurement was assembled from a small low‐temperature aluminum block and a hot plate. The samples are digested in 16 mm diameter heat resistant glass tubes using H2SO4and a digestion mixture composed of CuSO4and K2SO4. The ammonium content in the digest is determined colorimetrically. The proposed method employs equipment found in most small laboratories and therefore provides the capability of precise in‐house N‐determination at minimal cost.

摘要:
The analysis of molybdenum in plant tissue using graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry (GFAAS) is described. The method involved wet digestion using a mixture of sulphuric, nitric and perchloric acids followed by a solvent extraction procedure. Molybdenum was extracted into di‐iso butyl ketone (DIBK) as the iron‐thiocyanate complex. The extract was then analysed for molybdenum by GFAAS.

Eleven trials with lettuce (Lactuca sativaL.) different rates of ammonium nitrate limestone (0–2.6 kg N/100 m2) were carried out in commercial glasshouses. The objectives of the study were to find the optimum nitrogen dressing for maximum production or a suboptimum of not less than 90% of maximum production, in combination with a crop nitrate content not exceeding the official limit.

摘要:
Lettuce(Lactuca sativaL.)collected from eleven trials with different rates of application of ammonium nitrate limestone was analysed for bromide. Nitrogen application (0–2.6 kg N/100 m2) decreased the bromide content of the lettuce in most trials. This decrease varied from 0 to 50%, with 27% as the average. A correlation was found between the bromide content of the crop and that of the soil extract at the conclusion of the trials. The correlation could be improved by calculating a multiple regression equation which included the nitrate content of the soil extract.

Chloride (Cl) toxicity was suspected in corn (Zea maysL.) growing in a poorly‐drained Atlantic Coast Flatwoods soil where Cl toxicity of soybean {Glycine max(L.) Merr.} was a problem. Field and greenhouse research was conducted with rates of applied Cl in an effort to induce Cl toxicity in corn.

Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System (DRIS) norms for N, P, K, Ca, Mg, and S were developed for three high‐yield Coastal bennudagrass populations that were selected from soil fertility studies that contained six rates each of N, P, and K. Norms from the high‐yield population that was based on a single yield level at a given harvest date were considered most suitable. The relative importance of criteria used to select suitable diagnostic parameters was discussed along with composition of index equations. The norms developed from Coastal bennudagrass grown on anAquic Fragiudalfsoil in south Louisiana accurately predicted yield responses to N, P and K applications at that location and to P, S, and Mg applications onTypic Paleudultsoils in north Louisiana. A computer generated DRIS balance chart was designed to provide a visual interpretation of individual sets of DRIS indices.
