摘要:
SummaryEffects of wake amine, β‐phenyrl‐isopropyl‐amine, on the metabolism of glutamic acid in the brain were observed in vitro and a long term basis in vivo. The results obtained were as follows:1. In the brain homogenate without my substrate, this drug showed depressive effects on the reduction of TTC.2. When glutamic acid was added as substrate to the brain, the reduction of TTC was not influenced by this drug.3. When glutamine was added to the brain as substrate, the reduction of TTC was depressed by this drug.4. This drug works depressing on activity of glutaminse in the brain.5. There was no effect of this drug on the vegetative and cerebral decaroxylase of glutamic acid.6. In vitro, no effect was detected on the transamination between α‐ketoglutaric acid nor γ‐aminobutyric acid nor α‐alanine in the brain but, in a long term administration, depressive effects of this drug on these two transaminations were obtained.7. This drug, when used in vitro and vivo, showed accelerating effects toward an increase of NH3in thc brain aft

摘要:
Summary1. The cerebral microvibration occurring on the dura mater was recorded from anesthetized cats by means of a crystal pick‐up. The cerebral blood flow was measured byRein'smethod and the systemic blood pressure was determined for elucidation of the correlation between the vibrations and the blood flow and the blood pressure.2. Certain drugs, such as phenobarbital and drugs with an action on the autonomic nervous system (adrenaline, acetylcholine, histamine, nicotine, pilocarpine) were used in the same way as above for measurement of the cerebral blood flow and the systemic blood pressure.3. The experiment disclosed that there exists a closz correlation between the amplitude and frequency of cerebral microvibrations and the cerebral vascular tone.4. All these findings led to the conclusion that cerebral microvibration might represent the cerebral vasomotor tone maintained at the tim

摘要:
SummaryThrough bilateral destruction of the amygdaloid nuclear complex in infant and adult animals and through subsequent observations under careful feeding in sxne period of time, following results were obtained:1) By bilateral amygdalectomy in infant animals, inhibition in the growth was induced in most cases.2) Histological observations on the brain lesions of these cases reveal that the inhibitory effect upon the growth may be initiated seemingly by destruction of the medial amygdaloid complex such as nuclei B, D or T, or periamygdaloid cortex such as Pam2and Pam3, or the anterior amygdaloid region, especially at the level of the nucleus of the lateral olfactory trac:.3) The inhibitory effect upon the growth was exceedingly obvious in those cases, in which the amygdaloid regions or surrounding structures of these most effective parts of the amygdala were extensively damaged on both sides.4) Somewhat accelerating effect upon the growth was found in some cases, however, no positive evidence could be gained by any means in this series of observation.5) Unilateral arnygdalar or hypothalamic destruction cannot result in retardation of the growth, even in those highly convincing cases with tissie deterioration in the vicinity of the amygdala.6) An example of remarkable obesity was found in an adult cat following bilateral destruction of the medial parts of the amygdala and a part of the entorhinal area. Histological alterations of the internal organs of this case were described and a functional relationship of the so‐called feeding centre in the hypothalamus

摘要:
SummaryThe recovery effect of sodium glutamate upon the insulin‐induced coma was studied on 115 schizophrenic cases. And, the following results were obtained1) The recovery effect of glutamic acid upon the insulin‐induced coma was recognized.2) The recovery effect of glutamic acid upon the insulin‐induced coma works in proportion to the concentration of the glutamic acid.3) The recovery effect upon the insulin‐induced coma was examined with combination of glucose, glutamic acid and various kinds of vitamins.4) As the result, it became clear that combination of 50% glucose, 20%sodium glutamate and vitamin B6works efficacious upon the insulin‐induced coma whether the coma may be deep or not.5) Combiation of 50% glucose + 20% sodium glutamate + vitamin B6was used to 95 cases of insulin‐induced coma, with clinical recovery effect affirmed all the cases well worthy as a new clinical method of the recovery from the
