摘要:
The clarification of beliefs and perceptions about seizures is imperative and an integral part of provision of care of the child with a seizure disorder and the child's family. The development of a teaching tool about seizure disorder for the public at large will facilitate the modification of attitudes and perceptions toward seizure disorders that may be impinging on both the child the child's significant others.

摘要:
International networking offers opportunities for broadening insights of nursing and collegial contacts beyond the confines of one's national and educational setting. This article discusses the networking experiences of a group of American nurses participating in an educational exchange in the People's Republic of China. Exchange discussions centered on commonalities of concerns such as education of nurses, staffing patterns, well-child versus ill-child care, major health problems of childhood, clinical nursing techniques, patient education, and organizational policies. Participants became aware of the common core of caring that unites nurses throughout the world and its power to advance the health of the world community.

摘要:
This article describes the process used by a team of university graduate nurses practicing comprehensive pediatric nursing in designing village-based Mated Child Health (MCH) center in western Turkey. An analysis of organizational and marketing strategies is presented. Recommendations for future such efforts and implications, transferable to the U.S. for preventive pediatric nursing and involvement of midwifery are suggested as a part of the conclusions.

摘要:
Functional wellness behaviors of 46 mildly mentally retarded subjects enrolled in a community-based educational/vocational program were assessed. The subjects were evaluated to determine their ability to independently meet some of their health needs. A very low percentage of them had acquired independence in the assessed areas, indicating that greater attention needs to be focused on these areas as part of educational/ vocational program opportunities.

摘要:
The Brazelton Neonatal Behavioral Assessment Scale (BNBAS) provides a means for systematic observation of newborns. In addition, the BNBAS can be used as a means of helping parents read the cues of their infants and of altering environmental condi-tons to benefit infants. The BNBAS is described, as are clinical uses of the instrument in clinical nursing practice. Preparation for using the BNBAS is also discussed.
