摘要:
AbstractA new approach is proposed for identifying elastic constants for orthotropic material bodies by using the boundary element method. The material parameters which must be determined are two Young's moduli, a shear modulus and two Poisson's ratios. The method is applied to geotechnical engineering problems.

摘要:
AbstractA finite element algorithm is presented to evaluate the dynamic response of pavements including aircraft‐guideway‐foundation interaction. The pavement‐foundation system is modeled by a series of thick plate elements supported by discrete springs and dashpots at the nodal points representing the viscoelastic foundation. The moving aircraft loads are represented by masses each supported by a spring and dashpot suspension system and having a specified horizontal velocity and acceleration. The accuracy of the algorithm is verified by comparing the finite element solution with available analytical results. AbstractHierarchical single surface (HISS) δ0and δ1models are briefly discussed. An algorithm for the implementation of δ0and δ1models in a finite element code and the associated subroutines, written in FORTRAN 77, are presented. The algorithm is general and can be adopted for other computer codes with minor changes. Detailed steps and subroutines are included for easy implementation of the models in specific codes.
